Good. Cause it's useless anyway.
YouTube, not gaming, app generalizes all videos and mixed all kinds of genres. This one? Eh, money I guess.

Personally I think its a stupid option to remove the app, Considering it was originally on the Website (Under Youtube App in a sub section with Music, Movies and Gaming) Then to make it easier for viewers to find the videos/streams they wanted to make a Youtube Gaming app similar to Twitch, Mixer etc and now they are rolling back?

Google you should also shut down youtube as a whole in Europe - the EU doesn't want you here. We have BigBrother news though ( and maybe a BB vlogs who knows? )

Whoooa until now i did not know something like this existed and i am a heavy gamer.
But when i needed or searched for something i simply used youtube search bar.
Everything was there.

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2018Good riddance. Won't be missed though. Since some of those ... moreCause it is more than just for searching the contents. While the app are pretty much focus on showing all games related contents and nothing more, it is also a streaming platform for mobile gamer as well.
You can use it to record your mobile game gameplay as well as doing a live streaming of the game that you're playing. If you choose to record it and upload it later, you can also do some limited editing (like adding music o the video that provides by Google/YouTube).

Good riddance. Won't be missed though. Since some of those features from YouTube Gaming app eventually made their way to the main YouTube app itself. I don't understand why Google was bothered to create a YouTube app for gamers even when 1 YouTube app for all users is more than enough. If gamers want to find gaming videos, gameplay etc, they can always use the android browser to view YouTube mobile website OR use a desktop / laptop to view the YouTube website and search "gaming". Simple as that, period.
