Apple iPhone XS, XS Max and XR battery capacities revealed

iPhone XS Max is the iPhone with the biggest battery but the XR still beats it, according to Apple.

      Something priced so high should be the best in everything. "Optimisation is good" should not mean skimping on hardware, right?
      They don't have basics like hf jack and sd slot, they are not really slim, they are big devices. There is no excuse for not having a higher capacity battery. But hey! They are Apple, they don't even provide a dongle anymore on a 1.5k USD device, because, you know, a customer paying that much amount won't mind shelling just 9 dollar more.

        Well, with it's screen resolution, it's obvious that the XR will have the best endurance.

          So 2018's iPhone XS Max with it's 6.5" almost 1440p screen has a smaller battery than 2013's Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which has a 5.7" 1080p screen... (3.174 mAh vs 3,200mAh)

          Goes to show how far behind Apple is in everything.

                  €1000+ phones still using that kind of battery capacity? What a joke Apple! At least put a higher battery capacity, this isn't a cheap phone.

                              Hard to mention battery size when Huawei and now Samsung are on that 4,000 mah life. And the iSheep just follow along like every other year. Garbage company, shameful fan base. "bu-bu-but it's about optimization T_T".. So your telling me you can't have both?

                                It always wins on software optimization.
                                Sure, the Note 9 has the biggest battery ever putted on a Note, but is somewhat inferior to Xperias and Mate series when it comes to endurance.

                                    Can we please stop calling the XR a budget phone? Personal loan phone maybe?

                                      It's always a work of both hardware and software.
                                      You can claim a 4000mAh battery and still get a mediocre battery life due to the weak software optimization (Galaxy Note 9).
                                      And battery could be small yet last very long with nice efficiency (Xperia XZ2).

                                        Could've added 300-500mah more on all models, but based on how efficient and optimised iOS is, this battery size is actually not bad.
