MJ Cool, 15 Oct 2018Hello all, Has anyone recently updated their iPhone 5s to ... moreDon't do it I've updated mine 6s from iOS 9 to iOS 11 and my battery drains very quick doing the same work I usually do and my battery capacity is on 97%.Yet it lasts 3-4 hours of usage I have an iPhone 5 on iOS 8.4 with battery capacity 76% and lasts for 5-6hours.

I have an Iphone 5S since about 3 years. Mid October I receaved a message frm Apple to upgrade from iOS 11 to iOS12. After upgrading I can no longer use the phone function. I restarted my phone and saw again that Icould make a call. But after a few minutes It was over "No service". I also could no more use Wifi. The phone says "network failor" I hav sevral tablets and other phones wich have no problems with my home network. A visit to an apple store confirmes that my phone is OK. But there is no way to return to iOS11. (why?)

MJ Cool, 15 Oct 2018Hello all, Has anyone recently updated their iPhone 5s to ... moreYaa I`m Using it on IOS 12.0.1, in fact, its Much faster than IOS 11, but Battery Drain Its Looks same on Ios 11 & IOS 12 but in IOS 12 its Draining Little faster like for 1 Hour it's Draining 18% - 20% With Medium usage like Whatsapp and Songs in Apple Music with All day Wifi. Btw my Mobile is iPhone 5S (64GB).

Hello all,
Has anyone recently updated their iPhone 5s to iOS12? I have a 5s running on iOS 8.1.3 and wish to update. I know the interface and layout will change but I want to know if iOS12 actually works on an iphone 5s 16gb?

Siri is not giving voice feedback.
Battery is dis-charging very fast , battery draining is like anything.

Custom ROMs are made by people who do it at a hobby, they have not the resources nor the quality control of a big company, so their ROMs will be unstable and not that great for daily use.

motorola Atrix has finger print and lapdock since 2011, iphone finger print come way to lated on 2013, no point to use it now because it was 2 years behind motorola by time it lunch lol

Custom roms are for needs, geeks, average android users like majority of the users don’t care and does NOT KNOW how to flash and install an unstable rom on their daily driver android phone

On android, even if manufactures don't give update after 2 years, you can still flash 3rd party roms, like 7 years old htc HD2 running on nougat. That's the beauty of android phones. On ios, when apple stops updating your phone, you are done. But, on android there is always a workaround.

The latest one is 2018-09-04 G920FXXU6ERG1.
I can even get the unofficial Android Pie if I wish.
It's still running like new (except for the battery).

Whenever I want to get a new phone, I consider & compare ALL phones including Apple.

I've used some iPhones including iPhone X. iPhone is very boring for me. Android is more fun and easy to use. For example iOS settings is really hard to tweak. Android settings is organized well.

Well calling and meesaging people and brownsing will be all we can use this old cockroach for.
Othervise it will be like any other phone with latest OS.

Good idea to write this article, but you should install everything you can if it is to be like real world: anyone with such an old phone around will have it bloated for sure.

I had a 5S for like 18 months, i think the reason i got rid of it was because the safari would no longer work with my ad blocker. I must have it. That and they crippled my emulator.
