      "This is unlike the Galaxy S9+, which lets you disable the button from doing anything when pressing it". So, they shove an unwanted feature down the user's throat then charge extra for disabling it. Great customer care, Samsung!

        Often accidentally pressed it, while gaming, taking pictures in a rare condition, reading diagonally, watching youtube or movie, the most annoying when diconnected from online gaming because of it.
        Not only bixby button, the home button also. When I play online game the attack or skill around home button. got out and kicked from the game... :(

        Samsung, please help us with this issues.

            I would use that button to toogle between silence mode, way more usefull.

                i don't like at all the bixby button, and bixby not even working like alexa or google voice;
                it shouldn't be tied to the phone and be permanently upgrade-able server side; also offscreen note limited to the color of your stylus was also something that pissmeoff.

                selling phone with limited function. all the bloatware/crapware that samsung put on the note cause they get paid for or get patent licencing.

                If at least you could clean your rom uninstall all the useless apps cluttering your phone and you dont plan to use.

                Sometime, you can't even disable them.

                Forcing people with something does not make them want to use it.
                they really don't understand psychology.

                (yeah so, I'm one the guy who didn't want to buy sam N9 due to the bixby button).
                also I like Touchwiz modded since the first phone i used from samsung.
                AOSP is great, but some sammy function should be implemented in AOSP.

                i missed the stylus function when i moved to others android phone, and had plan to take the 7 - 8 note

                On oneplus you have a smallswitch button that is actually useful. by the way that's how bixby button should have been implemented ( no accidental press).


                Don't know why others smartphone brand didnt copy it.
                Sony side fingerprint same deal.... way better than in the back.

                Long story short, Samsung is really disappointing, i hope they make it up for the 10... and i'll switch my note 9 with.

                Or I won't plan to buy anymore my favorite brand.

                  You know what's funny?
                  You have to update and activate Bixby in order to be able to to turn the key off and also disable bixby =))
                  This is by far the most annoying thing from Sammy.
                  Also, since bixby is voice activated, this means it's listening to you ALL the time!
                  Some other user said they should at least let you swap vol up with bixby and reorder the buttons, which doesn't sound like a bad idea.
                  Anyway. Bixby sux!

                      Notch or Bixby, notch or Bixby... To be or not to be..

                        AnonD-628531, 20 Sep 2018The funniest thing is....it's still better than Siri xDNo doubt Bixby offers better facilities than other Virtual Assistant. Only thing makes it unusable is its understanding ability of users pronunciation. I spend such time with Bixby in my S8. At some point lost patience only due to that Bixby not able to understand some of my pronunciation. I have tried every possible aspects. But not able to teach Bixby.
                        On the other hand Google Assistance can accurately understand those pronunciation.
                        Now I am using S9 Plus and not even activated the Bixby. But still I hope Samsung will improve it and make it as proper as it should be.
                        If anyone using the updated version pl share your experience.

                            Well, at least they listen to customers, unlike Apple and some others who shove their decisions down the customer's throat.

                                Seriously its no trouble at all if you dont like bixby dint use it and I have never accidentally pressed any buttons and I cant even see my buttons and you can put a small sticker or something on bixby button so when you put your finger on it you will know its bixby button and wont press it
                                People saying they dont buy Samsung because of that button is just ridiculous they are nothing but haters whi cant find a reason to hate so they are using these stupid excuses

                                  To be honest Bixby is just a gimmick and not really usefull to me. I use it just for fun.

                                        Bixby is one of the most worthless junkware apps I've ever seen. I was close to buying a note 9 but it really puts me off.
