Huawei Mate 20 Pro's third teaser hints at the underwater mode

It's a clear hint at the underwater camera mode that was found in the EMUI 9 APK.

It could simply mean that they're upgrading IP67 to IP68...

I would advise against taking your phone to the sea though! These phones are tested for clean water submersion, such as the pool, not sea water.

A dedicated mode for under-pool photography would be useful though, especially for teenagers.

    The teaser says nothing about underwater mode . Its more about moving object.
    Why gsmarena is misreading it .

        Overrated mode if the hint points to that. very very limited use scenarios.

        Sea water destroys phones, be it ip68 or not. Now you want to dip it in sea water to take a photo?? There is a lot of dangers involved.. You need to make sure you don't exceed 30 mins... or more then 1.5 meters below the waves.. etc etc.. After which you might need to give your phone a plain water bath to get rid of the salt and sand.

        Now.. the only possible use case is in a kiddy pool, or a slight splash at a pool...

        OR.. just get a 1$ zip-lock bag.. and use ANY phone you want... thats better..

          Expect nothing but hype then Mediocre support afterwards. Then the P30 hits and the support gets much lesser for the Mate 20.
          Rinse and repeat.

              But in all seriousness, yeah, lets see how the new Mate 20 goes against the new iPhones and the Samsung Note 9. Hope its not just all advertising bullsh*t by Huawei.
