Weekly poll results: the iPhone XS Max gets a few interested looks

23 September 2018
Not too many, but still more than the iPhone XS and XR got. The general sentiment seems to be that the iPhones are too expensive.

I was visiting a friend and she liked my wallpaper collection and asked me if I could give the photos to her. I said OK and connected my iPhone to her PC. ITunes then instantly started deleting EVERYTHING I had on my phone and copied her files on my phone.
My entire photo collection was deleted and her personal photos were on my phone.
Thanks crapple. All those hours of MY work in Photoshop went down the drain..
This would have never happened if it was on Android where I could have sent her the photos with Bluetooth or wifi transfer or nfc or USB OTG or with a SIMPLE USB to PC cable.
Since then my iPhone is gathering dust on a shelf.
Using S8+ now and thinking of rooting it in the next few months.

What I want apple to change is the ability to freely add or delete your media files without itunes.

My last iphone was the legendary 5S.
It was good, but it's my phone damn it, not being able to delete or move media file including photos from my own device is frustating. I need to connect my phone to itunes every time..

Let alone you need to make a special folder to sync.. which takes up a lot of space in my pc.

Ios is good and fast, but the itunes ecosystem is horrible.

Android is falling apart more and more every day and it won't get any better, it's too big and fragmented.

Alien , 23 Sep 2018Special in what way? What matters the most in a phone is t... moreWhen you Android users stop listing those same things which hardly no-one ever needs and care?

Most people just want safe device which does things what they need and do it very well. Most of people who buy smartphones are just normal people, not tech interested people etc.

If i would care about OTG or micro SD i would buy Android, i haven't ever needed those. I see zero reat reason why i would switch to Android over what i already have. IPhone and iPad does everything what i need and lot more.

I don't need to explain to you why i keep my iPhone, i already did it last week for one Android guy here who said me i should buy Android phone, i explained what i need with my iPhone and said recommend me a phone which has those and he never replied. Exact same thing would happen with you because there's no phone in Android world which meet my needs.

Also i don't even understand why someone trying to say to someone else what you should buy because we all have different needs, If you are happy with Android device that's great, I'm happy with my iPhone and all the other iOS devices. For some reason just Android people in these tech sites think everyone should buy Android and they just doesn't understand that their tech nerd needs are in small minority. Your comment just shows that you have lost the reality and think that you are kind of person who is typical smartphone user, we who write in these sites are not. Most people prefer what they feel when they try the device, not what reads on paper. They buy the one which feels good to use. They don't have any idea what for example OTG means

"Are your friends so easily impressed?"

Usually people are, like i said you and your needs aren't typical needs of smartphone buyers.

For example when people buy new PC they only Use fraction of what it could do, is there something bad with that? NO!

What matters the most in a phone is the software. ios is so damn restricted it feels like being sent to the prison.
Except for the STATIC wallpaper, you can't change anything in their phones. Like I said before, this is a phone for people with zero technical knowledge like grannies or kids.
Smarter people will always choose Android over ios for it's advanced features, open-source software, customizability, compatibility with other devices from other brands, 3.5mm jack and most important : the SD card slot.
I can afford an iPhone, most of the haters here brag about the prices, but I'd NEVER pay for one, not because of the money, but because of the horrible software experience I had with it.
You need that stupid iTunes for everything, there are basic features like USB OTG or even using the phone as USB drive that are not available.
Please explain why do you people still buy it? Are your friends so easily impressed?
Just an advice : get smarter friends!

Generally most people are concerned about spending that much on a phone especially since apple charges so much for repairs. Ffs it will cost $500 to replace the glass back of the iphone xs Max. Its not a damn car.

Need to remember not many bought iPhone X or 8/8+ last year or this year. Most of iPhone users are owning older model and for them these are great upgrades.

Owner of X i don't see reason to upgrade and why should i, my X works very well, maybe next year.

You mean Apple haters voting only option from the poll they can? When iPhone have done well in Gsmarena polls? Never!

Apple listening their customers, that's why they keep updating their old phones years after, they understand how to make their users happy and loyal and when it's time to upgrade their phone they very likely again choose iPhone.

You know why I/We don't want to buy those new iPhones besides the fact that they're too expensive? They're not worth it for me/us. They're plain, boring, and it has say it all in the letter "S". They're just slightly upgrades from those none "S" model. Nothing special. And the iPhone XR is their stupidest way to lure those fanboys that doesn't have thousand of dollars to buy the more expensive version. Apple's fallen. They just simply can't escape that fact. Bunch of idiots.

On top of that companies like Samsung and Huawei are on the same page. when her phone eventually breaks down she will just go to an apple store and buy the one in her budget or the cheapest available (which was iPhone SE last time around when she bought it) ask the genius to transfer everything from old phone to new one and be on her way. she is not interested in whats new in iPhones as well as Androids. she has been using iPhones for years now and dont want to learn operating a new phone.
I am sure there are lot of people with this type of thinking and that is why iPhones have such huge sales and profit margins as there are people who are going to buy them irrespective of better android options available.

People who actually would buy a XS Max are too busy with their life to be taking internet polls.

Samsung Galaxy, 23 Sep 201851% are interested in iPhones while 49% are not intetested. These pollings donot quite reflect the real market. All of the 51% and 49% are those either donot own an iPhone or donot like iPhones or perhaps iPhones haters and Android lovers. True iPhone users like myself never have the need to prove anything through those single-sided-simple-minded polls.
