In the report I have read, it said Sony owned the patent and sold it to Samsung. But I think it became a mutual patent between them and therefore, both of them will use it.

So they might exchanged some patents and both them have the camera under the display patent so if they present that tech next year, they will completely remove the bezels

Besides we know Japan and how big technological country they're, meaning that they have their own patent system. The US only wanted to take money which was wrong because iPhone uses other patents and enters every country without paying those patents in other countries.
Well every company and China have beat the US to curb because they want to do what they want and when others make things, the US wants to make obstacles in order that product or company doesn't succeed in their market.
For China, all the companies around the globe gave China to be bossy because China is the only country who manufactures for them, instead of those companies using their own manufacturing in their country and in order their people to learn

Google (see how lovely that company is to its supposed partners?) and/or Motorola tripping Sony over for no reason whatsoever. :)
The "quotes" are there for the obvious. Only in America can you patent round corners, bounciness of a software photo gallery or location of a scanner on an electronic device... And the US starts a faux 200 billion dollar "trade war" with China because they're not impressed with how competition is stifled in China?

no Huawei have nothing to worry about. this is an A series so not a flagship. Also no A.I. so not amazing low light shots like P20 pro. so all in all. So its an A8 with triple lens nothing to get excited over. yes its nice.

We need a better chipset
I would like a zoom lens better than a wide angle.
Zoom lenses are great especially with OS!
Snapdragon 145 is needed.

Basically dual camera, that depth sensing we all no does nothing. Definitely nothing special about this phone, just move along

Even single lens phones - such as the Pixel - comes with dept sensing and bokeh effect. Having a separate low resolution dept sensor is wasted space and harwdare. Put in a better sensor and use it for something, like tele.

No thanks, I'd never pay for a mid-range phone.
Only high-end flagships interest me. Currently using S8+ but thinking about switching to Sony XZ3 (Green :) )
Mid-range phone are for teenagers and default users.

Those bezels should've been smaller! The front doesn't look as beautiful as the back!
