So what date are these new enhanced plans to take effect? Website does not reflect it yet. Everywhere I read says this re-brand took place on the Sep 24th but nothing specific on the former.

Been on Metro for over a year. Came from h20 after they throttled my data connection to 8mbps. Metro has been pretty solid, and when I did call tech support I actually got someone in the US who spoke English. Apparently if you call during normal business hours you get US tech support. But the neat thing is that their still rolling out increased bandwidth for 4G on both the 600 and 700mhz spectrum near where I live, so the few dead zones Ive noticed are getting much smaller. Combine that with a flat price, not $50+taxes+fcc fee+ Verizon taking your money fee and they make a good case for themselves.

Guessing no international texting and data. Wasn't $50 unlimited data in the past and not 10GB?

It's always MetroPCS.
If I lived in the US I'd probably use Metro. That $60 plan looks great, and I've heard their service in general is pretty good.

Real talk!! No one says "I use MetroPCS." It's ALWAYS been 'Metro' as far as I'm concerned!!

Metro isn't like other MVNO's that jump from carrier to carrier constantly dropping calls (I'm looking at you StraightTalk!!); it's a straight-up T-Mobile voice
& data connection. I've been on Metro for 2+ years now with zero issues, and have traveled by car from Atlanta to Cali and back, and all throughout New England and the Midwest. I also got halfway decent coverage in Mexico, Honduras, and Belize (mostly HSPA+) for an extra $10 when I went on a cruise last year.

I used my OnePlus 3 for a while before upgrading to the OnePlus 5, and with LTE+ on my OP5 I get around 80Mbps to 120Mbps on average. $60/month for UNLIMITED data (seriously, it's unlimited . . . . no throttling, I've PUSHED it to using close to 60GB in under 30 days) with 10GB of mobile hotspot. When I was in NYC a few months ago I had download speeds of 300Mbps consistently with 2x2 MIMO, verified using LTEGuru & LTEDiscovery (The OP5 doesn't have the antenna setup for 4x4 MIMO unfortunately). I don't get those speeds here in Atlanta, but it was still pretty impressive what my average DL speed was up there.

I haven't had a bad experience yet. I do, however, always bring my own phone, so if you're using one of their lower-tier/low-mid tier devices then you'll probably have a different experience.

Just bring a decent unlocked device and you'll be fine!!

                    :-)

Switch now, 25 Sep 2018 Just go to straight talk with $55 unlimited all monthly. You can get it from Simple for $45 on autopay.

                          I think you're one of ST's representatives.
Are you on avail or aux break?

They would be confusing their customers who are mostly confused when it comes to smartphone stuff. Haha

                                  Lol.

What I want to know is if they'll finally retire that antiquated system of needing to call in or visit a store if you want to switch your SIM to a different phone, and then charge you if you do it more than one time a month.

ok as a 5 year Tmobile customer with almost 80something dollar bill monthly, i think 60$ with amazon prime is a sweet deal to switch! unless there is a catch!
                                      would someone enlighten me please?!

Regardless of the rebrand, they're adding Google One and Prime without raising the cost of my service? High fives, guys. Call yourself whatever you want.
