I hear you but Foxconn has the capabilty to focus on both production and solving any AI problems. Foxconns future screen plants are needed badly 2019+

Foxconn is the only one they should be dealing with Apple, they actually pay to get employees on contract before they start as incentive.
Foxconn has way more experience and manpower than Pegatron I agree back up might
be necessary but Foxconn is the world master of electronic assembly. Foxconn has invested
major money to keep up with all Apples needs.
Apple should also give the watches to Foxconn for the money Foxconn is the worlds best
hands down.

The fact that even iPhone 6 still sells in droves confirms that people buy iPhones because they like iOS full stop. The status value of buying a 4-5 year old design is almost certainly zero.

I believe the XR will be the most successful iPhone this generation. Most Apple fans don't care about spec sheets, so to them the iPhone XR will seem the best value because it has a larger screen than XS and the same camera and design. The multicolor options will further attract more buyers. I am fairly confident in my prediction.

Something just occurred to me : the XR Is going to finally determine if Apple is selling phones because they ae good phones or if it's all about image.
If they're good phones the XR is going to sell like hotcakes, because essentially you're getting a MAX with a slightly smaller and lower res screen.
If it's all about image the XR is going to fall flat on its ass because every owner is going to be looked down upon as 'wants one but can't afford the real thing' where all of a sudden everyone is going to think of new arguments to shun the iPhone in favor of a - insert argument here - droid.
Me...I was in the local electronics shop last Saturday. I really liked the XS Max...but I just can't bring myself to forking over 1400+ Euro for what's going to be 'last year's model' in less than 360 days.

In the real world, this is the popular model as people with an iPhone 6 look to upgrade. They do lose out on the Resolution, 3D Touch, and Headphone Jack.
But they get the new styling, new processor, and new camera. Usually people upgrade for the new Form Factor, but it's an open-secret that the best value comes from the new Refined Models (ie "S" models). So this is a very calculated move by Apple.
