Because it's a Chinese brand?I would say he means it because Xiaomi isn’t really known for high quality TV-s (they are new at this) and even their phones aren’t really the most premium experience. They are known for being cheap. They indeed are a good buy, I mean you get a lot for what you pay for, just when it comes to TV, and they start with a bit high price... it makes you have rather really high expectations.
