Every drop landed on sides or so as a lucky drops basically. None of them dropped on the asphalt flat either screen or backside.

Its bullocks. Some shutter it from the first time other not. Glass is glass and apple glass costs half the phone price to replace.

When people have more income, they will spend more. They change their car from Honda, Toyota, Subaru etc to BMW, Audi, Mercedes etc. The same with cellphone, clothing , food, travel etc.

Impressive! Best phones in the market, no doubt about that

Let's see if even once those bitter Android boys can stay away

Firstly, asphalt is softer than concrete, it can absorb some of the impact force. Secondly, the drops were on the corners, which will be absorbed by the frame. Most of glass phones will survive that kind of abuse. The biggest damage is done when glass is the first thing to touch the ground. And the harder the ground is, the more damage will be done. Zack should try concrete floor next time with some flat on the glass drops. Those types of drops happen too.

That means the iPhones in the future would be very, very, very durable. :-P

Glass is still glass. Still wouldn't bother with any of these newer iPhones.

Apple also recaptures its crown in PhoneBuff's speed test proving iOS11 was badly optimized and an extra gig of RAM can go a long way.

                            https://youtu.be/OgqUjqbXMZA

I wouldn't mind getting the XS but keep saying nah. There is a cycle with me interested for a newer iPhone until I remember how I don't truly love iOS and their closed EGOsystem. The luster always wears out fast.

Good to see the XS being fast. iOS12 corrected the mistakes from last year. I kept saying last year about thecoriginal X should have come with 4 GB RAM. I knew people were wasting their money for that new design when we all knew a stronger twin would arrive in 10 months. Always rock with tock.

who tf cares? Iphones were never the best quality given, but still were most expensive. It's either in the Software or customers are blind. But then again - who cares really, apple will not save nor ruin the earth, it will go down the nokia way one day and we will not be sad about it.

Last year also they claimed to have the "strongest glass ever" and they were busted (though at the end it didn't matter at all because sheeps still bought them in loads).
So, this year they went with Corning's GG 6. Thanks to Corning their claims are correct, for once. Though obviously every future flagship from major brands gonna come with GG6 so their claim's not gonna last very long.

If it can survive a 900 foot drop then come and tell us that it sets the bar for drop durability in phones.
