Nokia is that bad and outdated to keep up with the leaders. They were so high and mighty back then they even have the nerve to call their smartphones "mobile computers". Now look at Nokia now. They're smartphones are now on the bargain bin and nobody wants their outdated junk anymore. If you compare the whole lineup of Nokia smartphones to my Galaxy S 2 and Nokia got nothing that even comes close to the GS2.

AnonD-4956, 04 Nov 2011That's just Q3 when all applefans were waiting for the new ... moreMost Samsung's sales are from Galaxy s1 plus and Galaxy s2
2 handsets beat 3 handsets. And don't forget there is a galaxy nexus coming so Apple will NOT retake the spot.

That's just Q3 when all applefans were waiting for the new iPhone, of course apple salles were lower than usual, now with over 4 million iPhone 4S sells Apple will retake the spot by end of the year.

Samsung should maintain its position for a while, hopefully to surpass every development of its competitors with the predicted s3 and upcoming nexus prime. First 'in' will 'win'!

Samsung has the volume to maintain their number one position in the smartphone sector, Apple "only" support 3 handsets in comparison to Samsung, as for Nokia they need to look over their shoulders for the likes of HTC and ZTE as the Lumia 800 doesn't seem to offer too much.

I don't think no one will get to Apple's profit making margins for a while though !!!!

Until apple came will come up with a better design of their iphone i guess form now Samsung or Android has the better edge. talk about the upcoming galaxy nexus it would boost more sales for Samsung and Google.

My opinion is the next quarter will be different with both the iPhone 4S launch and the Nokia WP7 launches.

How come nobody is shouting "First!" yet ?
So, taking a side look at my S2, i can say "Good job, Samsung" but they should stop copying Apple (S2 design is a step in the right direction).

Bye bye Nokia! Next year you won't even be on the top 5. Nokia won't even exist anymore. They file for bankruptcy and put their patents for sale. There is no one better than Samsung.
