29 September 2018
The issue applies to wired charging and appears to be widespread; our samples are unaffected.

The only case of hypocrisy I saw in the last couple of days was when the iPhone Xs Max beat the Note9 in both speed and battery, when fandroids wrote „who cares about 10 minutes of battery life / 1 second of app load up time“ yet when the Note9 beat the iPhone X in both departments, fandroids were all over like „Note 9 battery KING“ or „Note 9 rekt icrap, way faster, iOS is bs“

If a phone costs € 1000 it has to be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT... except it has „Samsung“ written on its back, right? I can imagine this to be annoying, but people on Twitter act like the world is doomed because they have to tap their phone to charge it, first world problems

Realistic1, 29 Sep 2018Big deal. S8 and Note8 had problem of not charging at all a... moreAt least the battery can be used up until last drop. Not like icrap that died with 10% battery.

It's real sad that people, instead of questioning the brand which boasts of "best" of everything and even charge a fortune while limiting features and accessories to cut costs, are trying to defend it.
When they overcharge their devices, you say "because they are the best", when a 300$ device (complete with accessories and jack), you say "cheap company, that's why Apple is the best because they don't have issues".
You defend the 1500$ because you are getting a "perfect device", and when there are issues with display, network, and now even charging, you say "no device is perfect". Really, this is height of hypocrisy.

But when you have a nerve to ask minimum of 1000 euro for your phone then it must be premium and bugs need to be sorted out before they hit the market.
There is no excuse for these bugs. It does not matter that they get fixed with the update. The point still remains that these issues need to be sorted out before users get to use them.

Btw you do know that there have been other reported issues as well, right? So what's your defence for the network issue and display issue (coincidentally the very same issue that plagued the Pixel 2 XL you mentioned). Cmon sheep, I am all ears 😂😂

                    nah...people charge it wrong:-)

Wow, I really hope they fix this issue very soon.

I would be mad if I pay more thank 1k for a premium phone that won't even charge( in the worst case scenario).

I don't like trashing brands, since ALL of them have had some kind of issue or drama regarding their phones, but this specific problem is serious and I hope people understand that it is not acceptable nor they should try to defend this issue like "oh, you only critize this problem so much because is Apple, you Samsung fanboy".

NO. Apple is a trillion company that is supposed to prove you with premium devices, you must demand such quality then! This could be Samsung or LG or whatever and it would be the same. Especially for their flagship department.

We should not have any problem whatsoever with charging. It's basic stuff.

Let's wait for Apple's statement. It's either a refund, a problem that can be fixed through an update or something like that.

I'm curious to see how this thing ends.

S8 had camera blurr issues, which were not software related. Nobody cared.
Apple is often targeted because their phones are expensive. Issue that can be fixed by software update is minor, especially since it is not like you cannot charge your phone at all.

I've it before, saying it again and will keep saying it... #SwitchToSony
