Of course chinese brands will be topping the charts at this time. Look how many articles are written about Hauwei, Oppo and Xiaomi. Seem's like everytime someone says Hauwei GSM writes about someone speaking about it. I have to sift through all the phones that don't care about to get any info on my brand choice's.
Also, the 3 brands I mentioned are arguably less expensive so why would the largest mobile market bypass the more expensive brands, Apple, Samsung, Sony...

Well the hate of fandroids is justifiable. Good or bad the trend is set by Apple iPhones every year. There was so much love and respect for iPhones when they top ranked in every department until Steve Jobs period. Retina display paved way for HD and Full HD phones even in affordable segment for androids. Same goes for Touch ID and a disciplined App Store and a very decent and reasonable price (maybe little premium). Same trend was followed by Android OEMs.
But now it's like everything is such a nonsense. Touch ID is practically way better than Face ID. Beause of this unwanted new tech the infamous notch came into existense. The price were not reasonable at all.
Just because they don't want to lose to iPhones Androids OEMs started selling their phones nearing the 999$ price bracket.
Except Samsung all OEMs caught up with notch which is hated by android community. Liking a phone is purely subjective but setting the market trend in not such a good way is what makes people to go crazy about recent iPhones.
Onething for sure, iPhones either loved 100% or hated 100%

1. iPhones Shoot to the top because of fandroids hating in the comment section
2. The most expensive, new iPhone stays in the chart. It becomes the center of the hate.
3. That one is slowly loosing that hate and also its top 10 place
4. older iPhones like the iPhone 6 have a higher place in the trending list
5. after a year or so, the ones who actually bought the phone tell in the comment section how happy they are with the device

Apple iPhones got dethroned very quickly and losing its position every week. It's a surprise that iPhone XS nowhere to be seen in top 10.
