I didn't think a company that is constantly accused of benchmark cheating, faking their photos, and screwing the developer community had such a following. Not a fan of Huawei/Honor.

Apparently, Porsche Design wasn't a fan of the notch either (and while I hate using them as my defense for the argument), they refused to allow Huawei to make a Porsche Design phone with a notch. And bless them for it. Because the notch is dumb.

The notch is probably the dumbest smartphone trend next to not having a headphone jack. Furthermore, I hate Apple. But I knew when Apple came out with their iPhone X, many were going to copy that design. There's nothing wrong with a slim bezel on top and the bottom. Bezels aren't the enemy.

Why no full notch because it is the regular mate 20 that won't have FACE ID and all that goodness. It will have the fingerprint at the back and this kind of notch.

If that's real, then Huawei really need new designers and promotional video creators. I would be willing to bet on that being fake. I'm pretty sure the Mate 20 will look like that, however, but the video is fan-made.

IMO, this is the Mate 20, not the Pro version. The title of video says it so too. The fingerprint sensor is on the back, the Pro has in-display sensor.

The notch wasn't Apple's idea. It was first Essential who did it, then Sharp. Both came out at the same time, although the Essential Phone was presented 6 months earlier than the iPhone...)
And their notch was like this, not the thick ugly thing that Apple had.

Dude, this is so fake.
First of all, the notch? Why would it look like that? People are saying it's gonna have 3D face-scanning (presuambly infrared) so it'll have to have a much bigger notch. Plus, at one point the video effects cut off a corner of the phone. It's way too unprofessional to be by Huawei.
