Qwerty2018, 03 Oct 2018Congrats...
U r one of those so called "smart(ass)" people... moreActually... most professionals get an iPhone and upgrade 2-yearly.
These guys are much more smarter than ME and YOU, because they think its pointless to argue about phones on the internet. These people instead spend their time mastering their profession and increasing their income (USD >$60,000), and any extra time is spent to improve their children's education.
The iPhone ecosystem offers them a few advantages that you don't get on Android, things like specific business-related Apps and online security is tighter. Yes, they even spend money on Apps. However, these "intelligent" people aren't really into Elite Gaming, not even Fortnite, but they do dabble in a few mobile games like 2048 or Candy Crush. I mean, if you really wanted to find out just go look at Neurosurgeons... these are highly intelligent professionals, and most have an iPhone and sometimes an iPad.

Fusion, 03 Oct 2018IOS the best..Android users are obsessed with Apple..Congrats...
U r one of those so called "smart(ass)" people, then...
I'll NEVER bother arguing which OS is the best, as we can see from tons of people's UX of both OS, Android is the #1 mobile OS, and that's prove something; a fact isheep could never accept.
The ONLY real cons of Android OS is the inconsistent update; there are TONS of makers made their own "version" of Android, making getting updates becoming more & more difficult.
Therefore Google offers a solution, which is good but hard to swallow by phone makers; Project Treble.
Those one aside, Android OS is, as u isheep always says, it just works.
As long as u have sufficient RAM (at least 3 gb) and ROM (at least 32 gb), any Android OS version (MM - Nougat - Oreo - Pie) will work like a champ!
p.s. much older version of Android could even work on devices with very limited RAM (1gb and lower) and got security patches without slowing down the phone; something that Tim C(R)ook will never allow to happen in iphone under his watch

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2018Ok. Now the iPhone haters can shut up and envy Apple's quic... moreYup, "smart(ass)" people get iphones, Genius people get Android...
U should do a "little" research around u about the percentage of the "real" smart people (game developer, web designer, IT-related people) and their choices of smartphones...
U'll see that most of them actually have Android phones, with some of those also have iphone (for prestige sake); I got this data from actual research of a smartphone-related magazine.
There are also charging-gate scandal in Android (pixel 2, Note 7), but when u compare it to the sum of Android smartphone makers, with their uncountable phone models, it's not a problem, honestly (just get another model from the same brand, or just get another brand's smartphone).
BUT, when it comes to Apple, any problem WILL become BIG problem (antenna-gate, bend-gate, iOS 11-gate, charging-gate, etc), because there are NO other iOS-powered smartphone AND EVERY iteration of iphones COSTS DEARLY, where people expect it to be problem-free, which is not.
Worst of all, EVERY tech-literate people on the net knows that there are many icloud leaks u can find on the net, but iSheeps still believed the BS propaganda that "iOS and its services are the best" even after all the leaks, and keep bashing Android, (slow update, lags, slow SoC, etc).
For me, no phone are worth more than US$600 because it will only keep aging and become obsolete after 2 years, while u will keep living even after 2 years and having more and more needs which costs money!

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2018That's the Internet for you. Remember how the Internet keep... moreThe Note 7 fiasco was a much bigger deal. When was the last time a manufacturer had to pull an entire model because of possible bodily harm. I remember flight announcements specifically asked you not to stay on the plane if you had a Note 7. It was a pretty big deal, especially with Samsung grasping for excuses.

I would get an iPhone again if Apple did a couple of things -
Make a smaller iPhone that's similar to the "4.7 or smaller. And give us an option between glass or metal backs. Some of us don't care about wireless charging.
Until now, the iPhone 7 was the last with metal back and a manageable size. The SE was the last to offer headphone jack and a beautiful design. No camera hump. One of the last great compact smartphones.

eSIM is LOCKED to the carrier in your country you SUBSCRIBED. So if your iPhone XS & XS Max dies, you are pretty much f****d. You won't have a CHOICE but to change your phone number. If you travel overseas, the eSIM will probably display "no network, emergency calls only" and you are pretty much f****d as well since you can't take it out at all!
