Anonymous, 03 Oct 2018It's a nice update but Windows 10 still really needs to ada... moreI have 2- 7yr old systems sporting Win8.1. They both do all you say you wish your Win10 did with regards to MULTIPLE open pages, resize widget tiles, etc. Graphics, sound, WiFi & Bluetooth are excellent. And I can connect it to my 6yr old Sony Xperia Z3v updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 & vise-versa if I want, no problem. So it makes no sense to me why your Win10 would not do like-wise. - Right click your widget tile to open resizing options. - And any cell phone can easily turn into a personal computer & texting machine via Bluetooth keyboard & mouse. The mouse even adds extra benefits, enabling more proficient and expanded usability of your phone.

By today's standards my systems may be outdated but they still rival current systems with ease of use, accessibility & expansion options.

Update took me around two hours to complete. Deleted windows.old folder and optimized local drives. Performance is great. Tried dark explorer mode as well. Windows 10 isn't as unstable as it was. Now it is very good to use. I've used Windows XP - Windows Vista - Windows 7 - Windows 8.1 - Windows 10. If you learned to use any windows operating system you can use all windows systems because they are similar. Just don't forget to do disk cleanup and optimize.

GSMArena forgot one thing. It adds DirectX Raytracing API so for the 1% who got the RTX 2080 and 2080 TI will finally use Real Time RayTracing.

I hope AMD Radeon Technologies Group will create a GPU that uses the open standard Real Time Raytracing and costs half of the 2080 TI.

For now, it's impressive that RT RT will save developer's time on dealing with reflections and mirrors but I'd wait for 2 years where RT is perfected and optimized plus 4K 144hz should be reached.

Wow, Microsoft now openly steals your passwords. Nice!

Windows 10 is so much better but still, it needs an interface overhaul. It's very dated. I like windows 10 to enable resizable widgets on the desktop and have multiple continuous desktop pages. I'm so used to running bluestacks with nova launcher that it's my default windows 10 home screen. It's news, weather and information at a glance and at the swipe of a finger a clean slate with a few essential apps - dictionary, calculator, encyclopedia, chrome. I only minimize bluestacks when running programs that are not available in android and when accessing files on the Windows 10 desktop. Otherwise, I leave bluestacks on full screen as default and enjoy its a gorgeous wallpaper with zero icon clutter.

It's a nice update but Windows 10 still really needs to adapt more. My default windows 10 desktop is loads bluestacks because I prefer Android's desktop customizations. Windows 10 needs to support resizable widgets and multiple page desktop. That way, it can remain clutter free on some desktop pages and very informative with weather widgets, news widgets and clock widgets in other pages. The start menu can serve as an app drawer. Windows 10 needs a user interface design overhaul to make it as useful and modern as Android.

How many laptops will it brick this time around?

You can't really avoid the updates these days.. it's just the way it is.
I figure I might as well embrace it, and give it a test.

For those wondering, I've found I'm able to get the update via the 'Windows 10 Update Assistant'.
