KTW, 11 Nov 2011HTC is using Tegra ? what ever happend to Qulcuum thave alw... moreI think any company will use the best parts to stay ahead in the market and whilst qualcomm have always made top quality products to use in HTC and other handsets, NVIDIA are bringing something new to the market and HTC have jumped on it. I will be interested however to see what problems they have with these new chipsets, i.e over heating, severe battery problems. I know from experience over clocking my GS2 that my battery and core temperature suffer from a 0.3ghz change so I won't be buying one of these straight away, I'll wait and see first.

This is nice but that mean Android soon will not be usable on slow phones :( Also will not be optimized and finish like windows :(

its for nerds thats likes to do all things of serious things to their phone, its certainly not for the average users. i am sure htc has built the phone with that in mind and knowing the sales won't be high. perhap its a phone htc will be using to get some market feedbacks.

can android4 use all of the cpu power and the other problem is this phone can run amazing games like ps vita but other phones cant so the games company never design a game only for this monster so we cant use the real power of this phone

this device it mustn't be useful, it must be an IMAGE VECTOR FOR HTC. like BUGATTI VEYRON for vw group. an image vector is made not for logical use, only to show off:"this is what we can do"

I really dont think that quad-core is a benefit for cellphones. Because you usually need this when you need a fast processor to do amazing games, and make big documents. But of course, you do this things with a BIG screen. So I recommend only placing quad cores on tablets

The specs look gorgeous... but do we really need 4 cores in a phone. On my laptop its beautiful... but i usually have chrome, word, media player, itunes all open and a few folders at the same time. and that's not including all the background programs like kies, antivirus...

What is the benefit of quad core. Will anyone use this for making 3d animation, video mixing n editing, CAD, or hardcore game like ps3?
NO ONE
Android runs perfectly even in 800 Mhz, it doesn't need such CPU.
It is only for those who want to show off.

Does anyone realize that you can purchase longer-lasting batteries online? I'm not understanding the emphasis on battery life when you can go to amazon.com and pay $15 for an upgraded battery and replace the OEM battery. It's not an iphone, the battery can be replaced.

Having a quad core laptop now makes some sense and fills me with goodness that it has the oomph if needed..Having a quad-core smartphone in my pocket would give me the same feeling..Its like having a powerfull car,you are only allowed to do 70mph in UK but if needed in short bursts you can zip up to 140mph or accelerate to 60 dead fast.Its like having a powerfull sound system at home,,you cant play it loud all the time, BUT, if you have a party you can relax knowing you have the power on tap to create a loud enuf sound for superb bassfilled night..
Yes having a quad-core smartphone in my pocket would bring a smug look to my face. Just knowing if i need some grunt to edit 1080p video i can do it no sweat..want to play a high powered 3d game i can with a quad-core beating at the heart of my smartphone & nippy GPU.OH yes quadcore makes sense.
