Revenue will (p... moreJust read it, the revenue is extrapolated out from the data that shows Xs and Max is selling faster than the X and 8 did last year. It mean they can see that more phones are sold now and then they used that data to estimate revenue increase. They cant see the revenue directly from the stats, the stats only show an increased sale.

You can only measure the number of Xs and Max using the apps and then get a good idea how fast they sell.

The reason for the Xs/Max popularity is an overhang from last year when haters had heavy campaigning to discredit the X, for example we could read a 100 times a day why people should get the 8 instead of X (but not a single good reason) and then why the 8 was not a worthy upgrade over the 7, and so on.
Now everyone know that the X was the best choice all along, and that the Xs is even better, and the Max opens a new niche, those who did the grave mistake last year of getting an 8 or 8 Plus instead of X or sitting on the fence are now flocking to buy Xs and Xs Max.
And it isnt slowing down yet, several dealers are sold out of gold and black Xs Max in both 64 and 256GB, and while Xs seem to have good supply some people are still waiting to receive their ordered phone. Also it seems the 256GB versions are extremely popular, 64GB isnt selling well this year, people are happy to pay extra for 4x storage. I ordered both regular Xs and Max and chose 256GB for both.

I don't get the whole point of the article. Revenue will (presumably) will be higher due to higher prices per individual unit. Higher revenue does NOT necessarily mean more units sold. It could be that they sold more accessories or sold more insurance with it.
Higher revenue just means there is more "money involved". Does NOT mean selling more iPhones (units).

It is scary how much we humans consume of the Earths limited resources! Buying a new expensive phone ever year, or every second year, even though the "old" phone is still more than good enough, is madness and will not end well for life on Earth!

Giving iphone is as good as giving away money(duh!), considering how easy it is to resell used iphone(in my country at least) at high price even at near retail if it look new from the outside

I know Trump has avoided any tariffs on any Apple components so far.

If they're talking about profits, they'll likely get higher considering they're killed off the SE and the 6S (which is their cheapest phones) and pushed the price of the newest ones even higher.

Creating more revenue and actually selling more units is completley different things. Sure, they are connected, but price plays a big role here.
