They are just trolling apple. As apple used a wallpaper to cover up their notch in their ads and press release pics. google just showing off their ugly notch and showing real "Courage".

Phones have become like Cars, after so many decades all cars look the same.
Similarly Phone designs have matured so much that all phones now look the same..
With Google it's not about Hardware & Looks, it's about the advanced OS and AI Packed features, they don't care about all these leaks.
I am sure Google will rock in the Mobile OS space and always set the bar for others.

Huh ! 9 images stacking is not enough to reduce nois...you have either use large sensor 1/1.7 inch..or have to averaging 15 images to reduce noise without sacrifice much datails ..

I'm not asking for flashy stuff because chances are, I'm going to change my wallpaper anyways. It ruins the first impression. It looks like you just opened Photoshop, typed 3, scaled it up and just make it silver-ish to blend with the wallpaper. Everybody's gonna think 'Oh look, it's a giant 3... With a ballsack above it'. (notch)
Can't wait for tomorrow's event so I can laugh at all the cringe of the keynote.
It pains me to say all of this because I think that Google can do better. I was really a fan of Nexus, and I knew for a fact when they discontinued the Nexus line, the Pixels are gonna suck ass. I am a huge Android lover, but since the original Pixel, I have never seen Google as the supposed 'King of all Android phones'.

After all, phones use to have big black bars across the top and this is much smaller, so no big deal. Suspect very practical too. Pending review and a Nokia release, I probably made my mind up to get the smaller 3. Great size,
By the way, this article on a wallpaper is hardly newsworthy. Desperate Monday.
