More aggressive noise reduction, smoothing, tone mapping, processing, etc. is being done when a face is detected on the selfie camera than when no face is detected is 'beauty mode' regardless of how much Apple and iphone users deny it. At least with android phones, you can turn 'beauty mode' off. And no, don't include irrelevant comparisons with a Pixel photo output passed off as an iPhone XS/XS Max photo as proof beauty-gate doesn't exist and is made up by android fans because it was iPhone owners who criticized it first, not android fans who never own iPhones.

    Android has never been a walled garden. Apple's iOS/iphone is. Well actually, a suffocating prison is a more apt description for the iOS experience. It's a very limited, restrictive, archaic/outdated system that doesn't even have a proper file manager, PC to phone (and vice-versa) seamless file transfers and file sharing capabilities, zero ability to screen share wirelessly without buying another overpriced accessory (Apple TV) and even then, you will still need a WIFI network, NO split screen multitasking, NO resizable widgets you can put anywhere, NO resizable icons, NO resizable grid, NO app drawer that results in horribly cluttered user interface, NO dark themes, NO sideloading of apps, practically ZERO customization. NOTHING. ZERO. NIL. NADA. And we're not even talking about hardware options yet where iPhones have NO headphone jack, NO micro sd card expansion, NO dual SIM for all but one model, NO 4000mAh battery, etc. etc. And it costs an obscene $1,100++ just because it has the fastest processor that 99.99% of iPhone users who only use their iPhones for Facebook and YouTube never ever utilize. That's the iPhone. A phone for sheep who think it's the best phone and the best user experience in a phone just because it is has the fastest raw processor speed they never utilize and fastest software updates that do nothing to change its limited, restrictive and jurassic system.

      "What will YouTubers complain about next?" GSMArena... what is this. You might want to keep your writers to give information, not opinions. You are a respected organization so keep up your standards and remove people like this or teach them to write.
      And do not spoil your name because of some writers like this. Just put it like 'by XXX' and give an ID. Keep your brand up.

          This was not a complain.. This was a danm report.. The bug is real and severely affecting people.. Don't downplay it to save your favorite brand's face..

              Well delete IOS close I tunes and Apple store and the whole Apple as a corporation and company and we wouldnt complain anymore.

How about 'beauty-gate' ... moreIf you read a bit on the internet, it doesn‘t apply a beauty filter like all those Chinese phones (where nobody complains, even though Dave2D said the Huawei P20 Pro destroyed his son‘s face) but it uses smart HDR for a much better dynamic range, and to combine multiple photos, it uses softening to avoid noise. So you loose a bit of detail and sharpness but for that, you get much more dynamic range and less blown out highlights. And let‘s be honest, the softening isn‘t actually as bad as many make it out, because when Jonathan Morrison posted a selfie he made with the Xs Max and Said it was Taken on Pixel 2 XL, all the fandroids praised the photo and said how much better it looks compared to the beautygate iPhone pictures ...

                              'What will Youtubers complain about next?' Well, you could simply not say that this issue was not annoying, sorry. When you pay so much for a phone, you expect these details to be checked before sending an update, it is all about quality control.

                                      I think now is the time when people should actually judge Apple. They fixed the bug as fast as they can and for me this is remarkable.

                                        Thanks gsmarena, I didn’t know that there’s a new update available there, my auto update were disabled. I do only manual check though.
