Deal: Pocophone F1 for 70% off (and a catch), F2 coming in half a year

10 October 2018
Flipkart has a buyback program that will return 70% of the price of the F1 "when you upgrade to a new Poco phone". You pay full price up front, though.

Only idiots will think this is a good deal lol. How is 70% off when you have to give the phone back.

Am I the only one who is skeptical about this offer? Promo says that you get buyback value upto Rs.14,700 when you buy a 'new' Poco phone within 6-8 months. It could very well mean on buying a brand new Poco F1 phone, it doesn't necessarily say next iteration of Poco phone.

What if Poco F2 is not launched within 8 months? Damn.. these companies love playing with us with words..

Geric.770, 10 Oct 2018Yeah. No Man's Sky was the worst game in history. It's pretty Ok now after Next update. Actually i liked older version more; now it's like Minecraft in space.

Please remove the "light bleeding feature" on the next version of the Pocophone F2.

They were borderline pocketable phones with quite a bit of advanced hardware -- flagship chipsets, front fingerprint scanner, dual cameras and over 75 hour endurance ratings.

The hardware is possible. Question is this is a chicken and egg situation?
OEMs: We could make compacts, but nobody wants them
Users: We want compacts, but nobody makes them

Sony is good, but the only one. Would like more choice. Or perhaps the XZ2 Compact might be the last compact ever.

My apologies for hogging the comments section. Just replying to the responses to my earlier post. Didn't know it would elicit such interest.

We needed to remove it for space/battery/cooling/a toaster. I will live with a USB C to 3.5 dongle if it means I can have a one-handed pocketable phone. Either a 4.5 to 4.7 inch 16:9 or 5 inch 2:1. Don't need an insane screen to body ratio. 70 to 75 percent is good.

I see everybody holding their phones with two hands, keeping their bag down on the pavement and standing and typing, struggling to put it in their pocket. I wonder if I am the only one who finds a huge phone unnecessary and inconvenient.

Kiyasuriin, 10 Oct 2018he does want. I he just want something pocketable.Thank you. Flagship chipset is great if you don't have to sell an arm and a kidney for it. That way the Poco is great. What I meant is I am willing to pay premium price for a compact phone with decent features even if the chipset isn't flagship. And no notches please. Of course there's the Sony Compact, but after 3 years of stock Android, one year of MIUI, going to stock-ish Android on the Sony was underwhelming for that high cost. Just my opinion.

Nope, this might be printing mistake. The buyback offer from Flipkart need not be the same brand/series/phone to be bought next time for availing buyback. But hope F2 will be coming in faster time-frame as Mi 9/OP7 and have SD855 to have all players in one line.
