11 November, 2011
The lack of native support for LTE in Windows Phone 7 Mango is cited as the reason for the delayed US launch.

this OS is sooo limited - nokia please wake up!!!!
P.S. A new "high end smartphone" with worse hardware than a n8, no memory extension, no front camera, no bt 3.0 (but 2.1), "only" 8mp instead 12mp with xenon... It hasn't support for nfc, only the half of ram of a n9 and smaller screen...!

art, 11 Nov 2011I want it with tmobile, not at&t. Me too. Bring this to Tmobile. I don't want to have to make a deal with the devil (ATT) just to get this phone.

If this was the N9 getting support like this, I'd be ecstatic. This is good news for those that like the Lumia though.

AnonD-669, 11 Nov 2011Do Americans cares about LTE?Yes we care, in fact, more speed are better sales, since too many people are navigating these days....

AT&T has one of the fastest speed around, so, this LTE will benefit both sales and consumers...

When are we going to see a GSMArena review of the Lumia 800? Most other sites already have there reviews up. Looking forward to reading the GSMArena opinion. I honestly thought they would have included the Lumia 800 in the 8MP camera shootout.

                          O.o

Supporting LTE is a function of the baseband, not of the OS. All phones can be made LTE compliant, irrespective of the OS if the oem equips the phones with appropriate baseband/radio.

It's like those people claiming that android doesn't natively support dual cores. Well, the linux kernel can be patched to accept a thousand cores. ;-)
