The one on the Vivo Nex S is mediocre at best. If OP6T has similar one, then it'll be a massive downgrade compared to the snappy fingerprint reader on previous OnePlus phones.

Was the in display fingerprint reader needed ?
Nope
One plus wanted a highlight feature for the upgrade and just boarded the in-display FPS train for the hype.
Every android manufacturer is a disappointment now a days, including the pixel itself.
Adding features nobody wants and removing feature everybody wants.
How does oneplus justify this?

The under display fingerprint sensor from Qualcomm that Huawei use is ultrasonic, and the in house one that Samsung has patented is ultrasonic too and will come in their S10 / + and so on. Ouch
Interesting, now that i want a underdisplay fingerprint sensor, i also must research in the reviews how it works or at least find and be sure that is ultrasonic. So, BBK phones, for nor now, discarded, ignored. Bye bye OnePlus 6T, the nevermore and false flaship killer. Do you know much are they going to increase the price of the 6T above the 6 release aside of remove the audio jack? Do your bet. $50? $70?
