How could you have it??? Front firing Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, IP rating, dual cameras with OIS and 4k@60 recording, 4000mAh battery.......there's nothing to hate in the first place!

Yesterday I was on the couch playing blackops4 on my Xperia Xzp, can this cellphone do it?

Original Razer Phone was focused to game by offering better refresh rate to make the phone itself future proof and show something toward true gaming handset.

One of shortages was solved which was SoC. SD835 was not enough for the refresh rate and rendering QHD display seamlessly in graphic intensive games. SD845 with Adreno 630 can continuously render scenes in most games available 30fps with top quality, which is a good move.

Chroma logo is also good to distinguish it from others.
        IP67 is good too.
CGG5 and oleophobic coating are right for its duty.
Good news is 650 nits instead of dim 300 nits which was good for shades and after sunset times.

Internal must grow. 64GB is good for multimedia customers which now do their tasks mostly online. Gaming means wasting space excessively.

Camera department has visible improvement. Video Recording@60fps both front and back.

Headphone jack is still missing which can be neglected today, as wireless ear/head phones improving day after day.

Battery is still small for the running machine. It won't last much longer than its predecessor.

        Overall impression is that:
In my opinion, this is the best gaming phone unless we see any better handset around the corner before New year.

Should have had a larger screen. Also 64gb is too little for a gaming phone even with an sd card slot

In developers mode you can activate it.
            All X flagships have this.
            XA2 too.

Love it but its not the best gaming phone imo thats ROG Phone

I am still gaming a lot.
At home at my laptop and with my Moto X4 and think what?
My earphones are packed as a brand new in the box since i bought this phone one year ago.

If the phone have such powerful sound then the jack and earphones are tottal waste.
You can use wmany wireless or bluetooth options.

I cant picture it in my mind what it would be like on a phone that is small enough to fit 2 speakers in.

And gamers need headphones to play games and be good at them. FPS games are very much sound based. I played CS for a decade and other fps games another decade. If you dont know why you need headphones in games then your not a real gamer. And you can use the phone speakers only in your home or somewhere where you dont disturb other people with your sound box. I have only seen people use it as a speaker for music or radio and thats it. I dont see kids play there games with speakers when im in a bus/train. They all have headphones for it.

Kiyasuriin, 14 Oct 2018Razer. The brand of gaming... has made a phone. This is Raz... moreGaming accessories brand. While Asus do gaming graphics cards and motherboards for PC you can say they are gaming brand. Razor do none of these hardware for PC they just make over price brand crap accessories.

For gaming accessories i will always buy Logitech. Only thing i dont have is keyboard that is cooler master mechanical keyboard with brown switches. I wanted white backlight and there was no Nordic layout for logitech G710+ and one guy who was going to sell it to me sold it before and for got to tell. For headphones and mouse i have logitech. G430/G502

AnonD-731363, 14 Oct 2018Well ROG may be better a bit but with its price and all the... moreAre you really bound to buy accessories tho? If not, price difference is less than 100 USD anyways...
P.s on your other comment, you make it sound like you had Razer stuff for 12 years + 5 years, razer was formed in 2005 tho... Not sure what to make of it...

Voted love it, however a few notes, the price is stupid, the price for 64gb should be the price for the 128gb and the 64gb should be cheaper. The lack of headphone jack really sucks considering this is a gaming and media power house. Asus have done it right with the 3.5mm and an accessory to add another 3.5mm.

The oled on the Asus is nicer despite "only" being 90hz but if the razer is adequate in brightness I would choose that as no burn in on LCD for game ui elements.

I hope the price drops when all the 855 /8150 chip phones arrive and the 5g modem phones, because even if we ignore the amazing value pocophone, the mi mix 2s is £300ish for 128gb (geekbuying) so manufacturers really need to deliver on their "flagship camera" and "insane speakers" otherwise hardware to value wise it's a little high, but I might buy one and forgive all of that if the RGB is kewl.

What a skewed vote. Love it or hate it? What kind of options are those.
And objectively the note 9 offers the best hardware for a gaming phone.

I like it, but I still think the ROG is better. It's just less compromise with it, but I do have to admit, this phone seems quite interesting.

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2018Do u hve the rog phone... N do u hve razer phone?... Never ... moreUsed the first generation razer phone. It’s not bad. In fact it’s great imo but the 120hz screen is overhyped. Especially 120hz experience when gaming but most games are fps locked and/or snapdragon 835 isn’t enough to get the full experience.

Might consider rog. But I can tell that rog will be better than razer 2 in every way when it comes to specs

i like RAZER aesthetics way better than Xiaomi's Blackshark. but Blackshark has better add-on especially the joypad+shoulder button combo. Blackshark phone looks too "game-y" and garrish for me
