Samsung W2019 flip phone appears on TENAA

12 October 2018
The device's launch is obviously around the corner but it is likely to be China-only, just like its predecessors.

Why do you not have spec sheets for those?

Yes, I did own a Samsung for a year and threw it in the trash can because I've had bad experiences with it. Yes, I never owned a Samsung with Bixby, thank God for that, and everybody's been ranting about Bixby and makes you wonder why did Sasmung include an option to disable the button (kinda), I'm not triggered about the fuсking Bixby button, I was triggered of how laggy my Samsung was and the A9's price tag. Also makes me wonder, why do I even put up with you if you're just gonna say I'm triggered again about a fuсking Samsung flip phone. A flip phone. you're telling me, that I'm getting triggered by a flip phone? Listen, this is my opinion, and for the last time, I'm not triggered over a Bixby button, nor over a flip phone. Just accept my opinion, okay?

Never used a phone with Bixby and yet you've so far written around 1,000 words ranting about Bixby? You're not triggered now? I'd luv to see you when you are. :D :D :D

And no, again, I am not triggered for a button. I don't even own a Samsung and I never will ever again. By far my worst experience has been with a Samsung mid ranger when I got it 2 years ago, been using it for a year, and it ended up in the trash can, and went back to my 2013 mid ranger which performed better. Where was I? Oh yeah, the button, no I'm not triggered over a button, or the flip phone, because I won't be using Samsung ever again. I'm only triggered for the A9's price tag, which is buIIshlt.

This range seems to be doing quietly well for Samsung in China. This the fifth or so in this range. The third with absolute flagship specs. Still don't understand why they need to be this expensive. I'd have if it was the usual 600 700 dollars and available outside China. Compact with buttons. But where does the money go? The hinge? Double screen? Still can't be 2500. Do these have FP scanners in them?

I set it to "double-press to activate".

AnonD-762416, 12 Oct 2018If the existence of a Bixby button triggers you that hard, ... moreHahahahaha x'D I drink like 2 coffees a day, and... The Bixby button doesn't really trigger me, I mean, If I had a Note 9 for example, I would just sell it. (Not just because of the existence of the Bixby button) (Plus, you can take out the buttons on the Note 9 lmao) But, I find it interesting when whatever Samsung does, people defend it, no matter what. When people attack my favourite brand, and I defend it, I'm being a triggered (insert brand name here) fanboy, but when I for a change decide to attack some brand for doing something completely stupid, I'm also being a triggered (Apple, or something) fanboy. No company should be immune to criticism, even your and my favourite company. I think that the existence of this brick is completely stupid, while many other people defend it. I personally don't see why, since it's a overpriced flip phone running TouchWiz, or whatever it's called now. Also, in 2019, the year of no bezels, 5 cameras etc. I don't see how this is justifiable, even for rich people, I'd rather buy a gold plated iPhone (And I'm not even an Apple fan). So no, I do not get triggered for a Bixby button lol. And I'm not the one to look at something stupid and random some company does (S8's fingerprint sensor, Google Pixel's chin, Sony's Dynamic Vibration motor, etc. etc.) and get automatically triggered. I'm just here to rant on why does this even exist. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Samsung, I just am confused about some of the decisions they make and how people approve it. For example, the new A9 with the 4 cameras and yada yada yada. Nobody was complaining that you have to pay $750 for that phone which has a Snapdragon 660. Only me. And I definitely can't be wrong for complaining about a $750 price tag for a mediocre phone.

Our ageing mum, no matter which smart phone + case + lanyard combo we configure, often has issues answering or ending calls, and more so dialing if the home screen + quick dial short cuts gets messed up. A smart flip phone solves the first two issues being opening and closing phone answers or ends a call, whilst if like the Doro feature phones this Samsung had two or three physical quick dial keys, that be fantastic!
Samsung, bring this to the UK, for under £500! IE, keep wireless charging but reduce the spec. Mum don't need no Qualcomm 845!
