The masses got angry on 1998. All the banks were liquidized, people took the money in fear, price of all basic needs suddenly risen up. IDR fell to as low as 2000 for 1 USD. as time goes by, it got worse, we hit 17.000 per 1 USD. It got stronger once as low as 6.500 per 1 usd. But it goes back to steady 8.500 for years. Now, it is valued at 15.000 per 1 usd.
