AnonD-632062, 17 Oct 2018OnePlus 3, 3T, 5 and 5T were the last great phones from One... moreHere's how good/much value the devices offered during a brief history of OPO:

    1) $349, 04/2014, 3GB/64GB, QSD 801, LCD, Plastic, OnePlus One.
    2) $399, 06/2016, 6GB/64GB, QSD 820, OLED, Aluminium, OnePlus 3.
    3) $479, 11/2016, 6GB/128GB, QSD 821, OLED, Aluminium, OnePlus 3t.
    4) $539, 05/2017, 8GB/128GB, QSD 835, OLED, +Aluminium, OnePlus 5.
    5) $390, 08/2015, 4GB/64GB, QSD 810, LCD, Plastic, OnePlus Two
    6) $559, 12/2017, 8GB/128GB, QSD 835, OLED, +Aluminium, OnePlus 5t.
    7) $629, 05/2018, 8GB/256GB, QSD 845, OLED, Glass, OnePlus 6.
    8) $649(?), 11/2018, 8GB/256GB, QSD 845, OLED, Glass, No Headphone Jack, OnePlus 6t.

    ...see a trend?
OnePlus has been halting the improvements over the years while simultaneously increasing the prices. So each iteration was worse than the one it replaced, from a value perspective. The only outlier is the OnePlus 2 which was plagued with the infamous QSD 810 chipset and the Cyanogen Inc debacle.

I don't care. The Op5 is the best phone I have ever had by all means. Not the most expensive one though.

ZloiYuri, 17 Oct 2018What about OnePlus X? Or even OnePlus 2?I clearly mentioned 'starting from 3' they are doing well. OnePlus 2 was DOA with SD 810 & X was an experiment. By all logical measures one must have stayed away from these phones in the first place, overlooking the blatant facts and buying the phone and cribbing about the same for the next 4 years ain't helping anything

OnePlus 3, 3T, 5 and 5T were the last great phones from OnePlus, because although they lacked the microSD card slot, they had a 3.5 mm headphone jack, no ugly screen notch and a superb best-in-class price.

OnePlus phones from 2018 onwards are increasingly pricier and don't have the above, crucial features. In fact, the Poco F1 has killed OnePlus.

OnePlus has now essentially settled for becoming a blind Apple follower.

Nobi, 17 Oct 2018Major update history of my OnePlus 3: 2016 June - Marshmal... moreLol don't get your hopes too high my friend, don't believe it until you get it. One thing that I learnt from all these years about Oneplus, is that they can lie, even their top execs, through their teeth, and then totally ignore what they said as if it was never said.

AnonD-558092, 17 Oct 2018Lol. Instead of explaining why, he just jumps to advertisin... more"Instead of explaining why, they jumped to advertise the 6T". You asked the why, and then answered it youself. Lol. Didn't you see. They actually DID explain why ;)

Major update history of my OnePlus 3:
                                  2016 June - Marshmallow (Launched)
                                  2017 January - Nougat
                                  2018 January - Oreo
                                  2019 January - Pie (Expected)
One of the best update cycle for a Phone apart from Nexus/Pixel. Oneplus' hit it on the bulls eye starting from the 3. Even S7/G5 ain't getting Pie, which costed 1.5X the price of the 3! After hearing about the Pie update, just went and replaced the battery for like $20. Now the battery is back to its initial best, camera is handled by the excellent Pixel Camera port and UI is pretty much stock with Pixel launcher along with Google feed. I feel i'm sorted for another 2 years!

People are not hype about 6T, OnePlus is lacking of new things, and instead of doing the same as always they are cutting corners, removing features, thats not what the brand was known of!

"Never Settle" they say?! yes, but people at BBK are the most crApple fans out there and need to copy the same, like removing headphone jack and so on.

i belive OnePlus brand will get out of business in less than 3 years, it will be absorved into vivo or OPPO and dissapear that way.

Nobody wants a featureless phone those days, ok, crApple boys want and need but not us Android users so, thats why some brands are gettin out.

What's impressive is that OnePlus 3 from June 2016 is getting the update too.
