OnePlus 6T might work on Verizon, would be the first OnePlus ever to do that

18 October 2018
According to "multiple different industry sources", this is happening - but Big Red still won't sell it directly.

However, I think the trade-off is worth it for some. After all, there has to be some reason that the top 3 Android companies use skins

I do wonder about b46 tho since T-Mobile has been using this in some places like NYC and LA. I was surprised it wasn't included in the 6. Also wondering if it will have all the bands on the T-Mo version and if the Sprint bands will be able to be used if the merger goes thru

All you need is 2,4 and 13. Verizon is moving away from cdma all together. Add bands 12,17 and 66 that covers the US outside of Sprint. Adding bands never occurs to Xaiomi or Hauwei though. Shame they can't copy OnePlus and make more money

Walter C. Dornez, 19 Oct 2018I would like to disagree in order to get the conversation g... moreWhich is what you need in a phone, not gimmicks. Have you used Vivo, Oppo or Huawei phones? Their UI overlays are horrific trash with little to no Android revision updates after the phone is launched. Xiaomi is just a little bearable but still trash nonetheless. Oneplus has two areas to really improve 1) battery life/bigger battery and more importantly 2) the camera is still not flagship grade to be a flagship killer. Xiaomi is just a little bearable but still trash nonetheless.

Chinese companies who don't stick to Android One or near stock experience have nothing to offer to really entice the buyer who cares for their phones for at least 2-3 years after purchase which are the vast majority of the users. People regret buying their phones for the cheap prices only to realize just how much they lose out on not that long after.

OnePlus 6T might be soon join their ranks if the touted new UI is heavily bloated like the rest of them. Not surprising their parent company is the same firm that manages Oppo and Vivio, both utterly trash.

Differentiation is not a argument that can fly, they need to differentiate in hardware and leave the OS to the experts who made it, Google. If they want to meddle in the OS, go it alone and make their own OS from scratch but that won't get them that far. The smartphone OS graveyard isn't lonely by any stretch.
