It cos... moreIt'll most probably cost a lot, like the previous SAMSUNG W2018, but I'll take this anyday over something like the iPHONE XS (no hate Apple fanboys if u see this, it's just my personal preference). It may be using the old clamshell, but it's still considered a thing that's valuable. Old is still gold, take the Ferrari 250 GTO as a pure example of "Old is still gold". It is an old car, but it's still one of the most valuable cars, even in the year of 2018

2. Until now, the only brand that actually make a smartphone that equipped larger sensor (than that number that you're mentioning) are Panasonic with their 1" CM1 (2014), and Nokia with their 1/1.2" original PureView (2011). Others would likely stick to smaller than 1/2.3".
3. Samsung's biggest camera sensor are 1/2.3", equipped on their Galaxy S4 Zoom and Galaxy K Zoom (2013-4), while every of their flagship series since 2016 are using the smaller 1/2.55" with Dual Pixel.

Sorry Samsung...a 1/1.22 inches camera sensor can’t make your phone a best camera phone...to make best camera phone..you have to use at least a 1/1.7 inches camera sensor like Huawei P20 Pro...

I don't see the reason for two screens on a clamshell, why not just go for a boring bar smartphone if one is so lazy to flip it???
Waiting for true clamshell with one screen + Android One + SD6xx/7xx at reasonable price...

Samsung's W-series flip-phones are always cool novelties. They are extremely pricy, yet you won't find another company that does flagship flip-phones like Samsung caters to.

Look, just because not many of you will use it, doesn't mean that it's a bad overall product.
Its aim is to provide classic enjoyable flip phones of the past, paired with modern day hardware. This is to say, you're clearly not being forced to get this thing and pay a lot of dollars, but the fact that such things like this exists only gives us more choices from a market flooded by similar-looking notched jackless tall screen glass bricks.

This is so bad, but typical Samsung. Just make sure they come out first, however crap it is, then hope Apple comes out with something then copy the hell out of it lol.

I really like SAMSUNG's clamshell high-end flagship, taking a old package and update it to 2018 standards. This is suitable especially for those who can't get used to current day smartphones. With that being said, I hope it gets released worldwide, instead of releasing it in China only. There are people outside of China that have problems getting used to smartphones, they need such a phone to solve (maybe) their daily problems with smartphones
