They sold it as Samsung branded but it can also be rebranded as other brand since it is white label product. Its like cheap knock off but its more legal and authorized by Samsung. Samsung wont be getting much profit from it anyway so they wont care whatever happened to it. ODM device can be carried with zero responsibility. If the product fail they can scrap it off . End of story.

Kickasser, 24 Oct 2018A6s is quite a deal, but Sammy screwed it up again with A9s...A9s is OEM device. A6s is cheap because it is ODM device aka white label product.

Grats low end 4 cameras and medium to low specs for a price of a flagship.

ODM is sort of a franchise model in the mobile world. I just hope that it doesn't get caught in the quality check issue which is quite prevalent in the B2C space.

SD660 at 1800 CNY, SD660 at double that price. Typical shameless Sammy. Least they could have done was provide SD710 at that price.
But considering it's China where flashy products sell well, despite ridiculous prices, this one with it's 4 cameras could have sold well even with an inferior chipset.

I am not sure that camera quality would be better than S/Note series. Snapdragon 8** has better ISP than SD660.
ISP - Image Signal Processor (it is part of the chipset)
All their phones are too overpriced (because Samsung is following Apple).

Aside from the camera module, I love the rest of it. Prefer it to the curves S series.

I hope the pricing will be same for the A6s . It's a great competitor to Realme 2 pro,Mi 8 lite,Honor 8x.

Also, Samsung has been at loss in China for around 2-3 quarters now, so yeah...
