Yann, 25 Oct 2018The last original SONY design was XZ PREMIUM. After it, the... moreInteresting observation. I find thin phones very uncomfortable to hold and use with one hand due to total lack of grip. XZ2 thickness of around 1cm is the sweetspot to hold your phone.
I do agree with glass gimmick. Glass has no place on a phone, not even on a screen as it accumulates grease and has no friction so your finger slides all over pixels. XZ2 Compact has perfect backpanel made out of quality plastic that looks and feels fantastic but the screen is glass, although it's curved at the edges glass that should absorb falls a lot better it can still shatter unlike plastic.

And now the cameras of this phones ... moreAnd you're prejudging a phone that hasn't yet to be release and to be tested on the lab to analysis on it , such camera quality or specs , then unknown surprise , etc. The phone specs itself it's missing most of its adequate information .... Could we just wait to judge it properly and in a correct time instead prejudging it before it ? Prejudging a thing without seeing further more that could be unexpected things inside would (you) feel bad . Just saying , peace ...

Headphone jack is present while cam button seems to be gone.
The 3 midranges may be 21 :9.
They have dual cam, probably 19+12 for XA3 and 13+8 for L3.
All with sided FPS, but not as power button.
About the XZ4, rumours say it reminds a lot X Performance but with less bezels than xz3.

Overpriced mid-rangers. And now the cameras of this phones even can't compete with the Xiaomi or OnePlus or other phones of the same price, with OIS, brighter aperture and size sensors, idem in SoC... Sure that they'll cost around the same or more than a Mi8, OP6, near a Zenfone 5Z and of course above Poco F1, Lienovo, etc. Too much better alternatives out there, for the same price, of course.

I like the notchless, low-bezel design. Good Sony.
I also hope it will have the 3.5 mm headphone jack unlike the Sony Xperia XZ3.

Hmmm, will it really sport a 21:9 display, or 18:9 and the bezels will be bigger than depicted?

The last original SONY design was XZ PREMIUM. After it, they lost functionality and start producing uncomfortable, bulky phones. All series with rounded surfaces are fat and uncomfortable. FPS position without comment.
And all uses glass backs. Where are metal, poly-carbonate as back materials?
All phones now are fragile and cant be carried without a case. Then design is going for nothing.

But why these phones look so tall?There's an external rumor said that XA3 and XA3 Ultra would sport 21:9 aspect ratio instead of new-standard 18:9 to 19.5:9 , contradicting to previous rumors said it would sport 18:9 , as matter of a fact , that XA3 and XA3 Ultra have very narrow width but very tall height in dimensions and 18:9 aspect ratio would too good to be true , from MySmartPrice , so it would been 21:9 aspect ratio if the dimensions were true in the first place , as 155.7 x 68.3 x 8.4mm for XA3 and 167.4 x 73.3 x 8.3 mm for Ultra . It's unknown for L3 tho for now .
