i disagree with other people saying bad things about SE ... SE provides easy updates . .i had galaxy s. .ht desire HD . .Lg p970 black . .and to be honest updating my previous sucks. .needs to download a lot. .but when i used xperia arc just used the sony software updater then one click thats it . .SE is still my loved phone provider. .

AnonD-21645, 16 Nov 2011without being too much of a sceptic - I'll believe it when ... moreXperia play in total sold is about 1 million till now out of which 200k in US and rest in global market. SO stop bashing and spreading wrong info.

It's great thing. Thanks Sony for making the device up to date.
I'd always prefer to buy Android phone who offers OTA updates.
And never buy Dell products who doesn't offer updates and they spoil the Android OS by giving Stage UI.

red, 16 Nov 2011wow my SE xperia mini pro will get the ugly ICSICS is not ugly, it's awesome. It comes with face detection to unlock features! With ICS running, you can slide-to-unlock the phone with your nose, I guess...

without being too much of a sceptic - I'll believe it when I see it...
the only reason I say this...
Their past record has been abysmal...
I cannot imagine them updating something like the Play - which has probably only sold about 10 units... and has severely lower specs than some of the others...
fingers crossed all 2012 phones (from all manufacturers) will come with ICS out of the box!
and we get an Xperia Play 2 (I really fancy one, but not at 2 year's ago specs)

                      Xperia Play 2 wishlist;

                      dual core
                      bravia screen
                      at least 1gb ram
                      dedicated graphics chip
                      4"+ screen
                      radio (a must)
                      decent camera (a must)
(I'm happy with the chunky size so that can stay)

give me all of these next year (which to be honest is this year's specs) and I'll gladly move away from Sammy!

SE is really real player. They are giving ICS update on their single core phone unlike samsung and htc.

I am a big fan of Sony Ericsson mobiles since, k700i, but se is at the last of list in smart phones manufacturer ranking, and always delay updating, using xperia from x10a, x10mini, x8, and now SK17i xperia mini pro & probably may last se phone. lot's of errors in operating system, using wildfire S and it's very stable operation and phone, but sony ericsson taking too much time for operating system update and then errors and lagging and sometime eehhhhhh... I like to smash to wall but why not throw back to company instead.
