I'm sure CEO and Founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos won't be too worried, he's still the World's richest person, from memory I think he earns $8 million/ hr., with a net worth surpassing $150 billion.

Two monumental failures by Microsoft
Thee first was too take forever to release Windows phone 8 which added memory expansion, not on Windows phone 7
Every major phone maker had a Windows phone 7, just Microsoft lumia and Nokia (essentially the sam released Windows phone 8
Finally whilst Windows phone 8 is a viable OS but discontinued Windows phone 10 failed on every device it was tested on prior to being launched to run out of the box on the flagship Lumia 950 even that phone had major OS problems
Windows phone 10 a cul de sac OS, two years of corrective updates did no solve the many problems
Say Microsoft wanted to get back in the phone market which it stated it has no intention to do due to WP10. You can't have a phone running WP 10 device as it would have all the issues windows phone 8 discontinued is the only viable software
WP10 failure and Microsoft inability to fix it is why there are no lumia phones and third party apps follows phone markets

Also resolution was never a problem, just a processing, huawei shows that by using quad bayer, sony by using triple layer, or you can counter that by aperture or some other new tech. Now I just hope for ''a bit'' faster focusing tech so we can get also sharp pic while having big aperture(focus stacking). Microsoft was eyeing camera arrays(pelican imaging), wonder what will end up being the best, new camera sensor tech or using multiple.

Well depends on what you do but in most situations mobile phone is most probably on you.

Anonymous, 28 Oct 2018Android is far from perfect Kiya, very farI know it isn't perfect. No OS is. However it's "perfect" in a subjective way. It matches my needs. Do remember that iOS isn't perfect either. Sure. every OS is being closer and closer to achieve that level. but as long there's something called bugs and defects. it never will.
also. REMEMBER ONE THING:
Even if google and apple reaches that level of bug-less OS. users may still refrain for a very simple, and considerably silly reason. It may not match the needs of the user.

Good job Microsoft keep getting better, they are releasing more innovative hardware (Surface lineup) and software (Windows 10) than Apple these days.

As for me I wouldn't even consider owning(much less buying) a phone recording mono sound and using selfie sized main camera.
Comparing to what you get for example from huawei for that price...
