Physical buttons = not needed anymore. Gestures are better.
Touch ID = not secure enough. FaceID is easier to use and more secure.
And android tablets are the stuff you give children to toss and mess around with. Not a real tablet OS.
On top of that, it’s a google spying product, so you would not allow it anywhere near your children. Or in your house or life. Only the tech illiterate and the not-understanfing-how-google-works people still use google products or services.

No 3.5mm jack, No home button, No Touch ID. (Cr)Apple is beginning to slowly "kill" its iPad(s) range by "crippling" important features from a typical tablet. Just go get a *cough Samsu** *cough Galaxy Tab S4 / S3 instead for true LOGICAL multimedia needs such as using the 3.5mm jack snd using the microsd slot to store pics and videos conveniently.

I mean, ... moreWell, its not like they are not used, its more like they age slowly, I got for ex. one from 2012, its used daily and works just well. Though their doom is coming as foldable phablets approach, but its long way until they become as cheap as tablets are today. Also if its about ones like from microsoft, apple or google, I don't see them ending, they are useful at least in educational and business field. At least I see them daily used in whatever place.

gohelvishalp, 29 Oct 2018You forgot to say with ugly notch design That would be just too much, with how thick bezels are on tablets, you would welcome anything. But on the tablets it would be possible to use all four edges for sensors and cameras, it would be way better until under screen sensors come, which may be as soon as next year. fps is already under.
