1+ is not just a company, ts a community. They are based on their loyal fans and they value them! This is rare and i respect it! A lot!
I feel the need to change mobile and i find it really difficult. So many firmes have betrayed their fanbase, their character, thereasons i and others chose them.
I am a demanding client, i can afford any phone, yet a value my money, i dont want to throw it away when i feel it doesnt worth it.
The same, more or less is valid for any of you, maybe you hav different priorities, different limits. We are not the same, we cannot all think alike 100%
Oneplus focus on one flagship any given tie and they are trying to please most of their fans and at the same time keep the cost at logical levels.
There are vocal minorities that demand 3.5mm jack above all, sd card at any cost, removable battery or else, no notch, led notifications, 3 expensive camera sensors.
Its really hard for the developers to decide what to sacrifice and what to promote.
Some ppl will exclude 6T now because it hasnt a jack, but they had their jack with 6.
I for one excluded the 6 due to its pitiful battery endurance and i wouldnt consider 6T if it didnt have this 90h rating, i wanted an upgrade on S8+ and look the 7nm 1050euro mate 20 pro has 85h, less than S8+ 88h
I wanted a louder ring and apt X HD for my bluetooth headset.
I disliked the Apple notch and i am not a professional photographer, however i want to make an occassional indoor pic and while i am pleased with S8+, i wouldnt want a downgrade, yet wouldnt wznt a premium extra 500+ for slightly better camera performance i will never use.
Oneplus came up with the right answer for me now!

The price includes R&D. You know how are called phones with recycled internals? Refurbished phones. And here you are paying full price. They are big enough to drop the "listening to fans" act and offer less for more. Glad I convinced people NOT to buy 1+ when they were still legitimately good (the 1+ 3 era was the golden age as one could call it)

The headphone jack does not prevent the usage of ... moreI agree but my logic here is the mother board and daughter board may be the same as the op6 so possibly the space is not there as the phone wasn't designed from the ground up to accomodate all the features, fp, bigger battery and 3.5mm. Of course I am not making excuses for oneplus, they messed up big time, they used to pride themselves on having a 3.5mm jack and "listening to fans" however to me this seems like a giant slap in the face to their fan base. Not to mention the constantly out of stock oneplus bullets wireless to add salt to the wound!
This is why I bought a note 9. If a manufacturer made a device with 2 usb C or 2 3.5mm jacks it would be awesome, maybe a company like pioneer to allow the device to act as the controller / mixer's computing unit.

Headphone jack was removed to sell the wireless bullets. End of story. No point in arguing over it. Wireless earbuds generate a very nice profit.
The best thing about this phone is that T-mobile will give you 300$ for your old Oneplus. I have a Oneplus One sitting around that i will be happy to give up for that price.

Oneplus probably removed the 3.5mm because they wanted the bigger battery and UD fp sensor, I have a feeling the main board inside is just a reused OP6 bored as the dimensions are very similar hence the lack of jack, maybe they will bring it back in the op7 but i doubt it.

Instead of upgrading their fingerprint sensor into Under-Display one (which doesn't really enhance the user experience aside from looking cooler), they should've added Wireless charging. All modern flagship phones support it, and for a company that uses the slogan "Never Settle", they should be offering that feature on their phones.
Hopefully OP7 will get that finally...

The 8/128 variant seems redundant though.
Still everything considered, Mi Mix 3 feels the better pick. Except the small battery and missing UD scanner, it's better all the way, in terms of looks, no notch, probably a better camera and better price.

I am not complaining about the missing 3.5 mm jack, but some comment on a youtube channel did..and the reply by another person..'honey, it's only $550' !! what the hell man...is jack now a feature that you are justifying it's disappearance by the seemingly ok price tag??!! dumb people!
