I think that with a Snapdragon 210, they should've gone for a 960x540 pixel screen and not 720, that alone would've saved massive power for other purposes...
Instead a better quality display might've been used..
I, by the way, have a Snapdragon 410 phone, with 720p screen... and its ok.

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2018I don't understand all these clueless "2014 spec phone???" ... moreEarlier this year I got a Cubot X18 Plus for 900 NOK (~108USD) and it's got a FHD+ 5.99* screen, 4GB RAM, same 4000 mAh battery and loads more internal storage (64GB) and a MT6750T octa core.
Yes, one cannot except flagship internals at a $100, but snapdragon 210, seriously? 2GB RAM should just simply not happen either, even at this price point, oh and lets not forget the 8-16GB storage that you can do pretty much nothing with.
I'm a huge Panasonic fan as far as TVs go, but their phones (apart from CM1) just leaves too much to be desired.
Take the Vernee T3 Pro which costs $99.99, not only is it better, but on singles day (11.11)it will cost $77.99.
Lenovo K5 Play is $101 (3GB+32GB)
On budget there are alternatives to buying new as well. Take the LG V10, a QHD display phone, it's available refurbished from 92-102$.

Use that processor its better than snapdragon 450 and much cheaper. Use P22 and you have a perfect sub 100 dollar phone.
if you still want to use snap 210 because it qualcomm wants to get rid of its stock. make 4 inch 960x540 android one phone with price of 3999. it may sell then

SD 210 would've been fine if it came with Android Go instead of normal Android and Nougat at that.

Do you not understand that this is how you make a $95 phone?
Do you realize that Snapdragon 945, 8 GB RAM, and 256 GB storage cost much more than $95?
What difference does it make if the chipset is a few years old? Do you think the phone will not work correctly, make wrong phonecalls, show everything up-side-down on the screen, or explode?
It's like people simply can not get into their little brain that some people can only afford low-cost phones, and low-cost phones has low specs.
