So they basically went out the door, with known "bugs", which is typically with Oppo.

Also no need to ... cough! It's solving no purpose.

This is not a good thing but any mean. How can they sell phone with half baked software, only to patch them right after release?

Please update the GSMArena Battery test with the update the consumers will be getting.

OnePlus is not one of those brands to offer updates only on new devices. As long as device is in support period(which in itself is quite long), one will get quite a bit of updates regularly unlike others.

At least OnePlus is offering 2 years of Android Updates + 3 years of security updates unlike others which get updates 1 year later after google releases it.

For that matter OnePlus 3/3T will be receiving third Android Update to Pie. Started with Marshmallow. Where does one see this kind of support? Nowhere except Pixels.

As a consumer, that is what frustrates me the most about companies like Oneplus. They start treating their (not even a year) older phones like shit. Ideally, they should have ensured that by Oct end, Pie gets rolled out to OP5T n 5. But they conveniently skipped that and communicated that it will take some more time. They should have focused on delivering that before rolling out updates for a phone which is yet to be shipped...
That's how you lose customers. Small things make huge differences

That's a good strategy. You deliberately release a half-baked product, and then you release several software updates to fix some of the weaknesses you deliberately made. And the customers will praise you, cos you care about them and you're making the product better.
                                    Funny, isn't it?
