Quite disappointing, this result.
Apple rules the CPU/GPU realm.
Huawei is now so close to Qualcomm in performance, that the difference is only in numbers. The Adreno GPU might be Qualcomm's last saving grace.
Overall Mate 20 Pro is the best device in 2018.

Embracing the benchmark score. What a fool ppl. If chipset is a body then the software itself is a soul, have a good body with a poor soul is something like Android OEMs always do. Just because you can build a good body doesn't mean you have healthier soul.

Hmm... I am sure this is worst-scenario scores. The 8150 can hit 3500 and 11k respectively.

Apple ecosystem would be crazy expensive and justifiable to lazy people. I can use my S7, S8, S9, and 2 cheap Samsung tablets to work with my Google home or Chromecast any minute of any day. Shit, even my 4 year old casts from the Note 4 I passed onto him. And before you get all "Android ecosystem" this or that, we are also doing the same with an LG smart tv.
Plus I can cast from my windows 10 pc to any device on my network. Took me longer to type this than to set up everything mentioned above.
Apple ecosystem is way to expensive for what it offers, simple fact.

Gsmarena really, really, really disappointed me with the Kirin 980 scores. They benchmarked the Mate20 Pro without the performance mode turned on, and they use the lower test scores as a reference point to compares other SOCs to. Literally eeeevery credible youtuber out there reviewed the mate 20 pro and in Geekbench they found scores about 10% higher than what gsmarena claims. Unacceptable.

They might like getting games and apps months in advance. They might like using an ecosystem that's stable, simple and just works. Grow up and focus on yourself rather than acting like a kid and insulting others only because they can afford expensive stuff! If iPhone will cost even more in the future, i will still buy it anly because il the whole thing as a package and it still wont be your damn business if paid a lot for something!!

if kirin's gpu wouldn't suck so hard it would be really high end, the 980's GPU is even slightly weaker than the 835's Adreno, what a shame because their cpu is Incredible

These aren't even close to the final that too running on a half finished cheap chinese product.
When prospective 8150 scores were leaked, they were around 3500 in single core and 11,000 in multi core. And they must have done improvement from that time
