I bought mine new in December 18, LG screen. It was great for a couple months and now the screen is green everywhere. I tried to sell it but they buyer returned. I'm in the US but bought it from Amazon EU. I tried to get Huawei UK to repair and they refused because I don't have a UK address. $1k for a phone and this... what a nightmare.

First was the tempered glass, went to a huawei official Store to make sure it has the best quality, without any fall or pressure, the tempered glass had cracks(twice), then the most excruciating moment, my 2 month Huawei Mate 20 pro fell on a tiled surface around 20 inches from where it feel. Still working though but damn, my iPhone 6s fell from our 2nd floor ang nothing happened😒 I'm definitely going back to I phone the next time.

I have brought Mate 20 Pro in November 19th and after one month i have screen problem and send to Huawei service center, after 9 days they just replaced my screen and it's look like refurnish phone because they opened my mobile, I asked them to replace the new one but they did not. But the same cases for Saudi customers they replaced the new one. I surprised that Huawei making partiality for foreigner and Local customers. It's make me offset.

Hi
I bought the phone on the 6th of November 2018 and I'm having the same issue with the phone. I contacted Huawei and customer care and they said that they are not aware of this issue and no one has come through reporting the same problem. but they encouraged me to book the phone in for repairs.

lyndino, 17 Nov 20182 questions. 1 - Why did this die out so fast? 2- Has the prob... moreHi,
As more and more early adopters started popping out , Huawei had to respond.
They admitted it was a production issue that affected early models using the LG pannels.
This has died out fast because Huawei owned up to this and replaces all the first faulty batches with units that have BOE screens.
I am one of the people who had a defective one; preordered it, found help on the subreddit and with the aid of Customer Service from my Local Huawei , I was able to get my device replaced.
The backlash is minimal because they did damage control and , if you can look past the fact that this specific model had a production snag, the phone is a solid beast.

2 questions.
1 - Why did this die out so fast?
2- Has the problem been corrected?

Anonymous, 07 Nov 2018Lmao are u stupid Huawei's forum has screenshots showing LG for ... moreFunny that LGs own displays (V40) don't have that issue.

Anonymous, 07 Nov 2018Lmao are u stupid Huawei's forum has screenshots showing LG for ... moreWhy don't you just link the source? Every single i found stated BOE as the manufacturer.

RadDan1982, 10 Nov 2018It's in Australia as well, I've had my Mate 20 Pro for less then... moreDon't worry Danny boy, they'll fix you up with a software update.

It's in Australia as well, I've had my Mate 20 Pro for less then a week and it's a bigger problem than the glue they use and it's definitely not what Huawei think it is. My screen has totally blacked out in the middle of the screen with green around the edges

Nick Tagataka, 10 Nov 2018It's dim. Objective tests don't lie. Then lies users which did it and reported its dim.
Because is not.

CptPower, 08 Nov 2018No its not. You can ask anyone who tryied it. It's dim. Objective tests don't lie.
