They all fold the display. It's a Samsung idea, a Samsung design and Samsung patent. It's a product Apple buys from Samsung.

am happy that sammy is finally gonna be putting the finger print in display, 4000 mah is enough they just need to find a way to make long-lasting like apple and please no notch and no chin make it full screen, i heard rumours that they want to put the camera inside the display which would be excellent then i would drop my note 9 for the s10, but i dont think its gonna be on the s10 maybe next year or until they find the way.. if not leave it just as it is dont follow that stupid notch or chin sh** :)

Can you use optical and ultrasonic scanners to verify payments? Like you can with normal scanners

Apple managed to fold the display components (that usually resided at the bottom of the phone) to the back and achieved the no-chin display. The Android manufacturers haven't been able to do that so far.

With so much evolution in smartphone tech in these years, there's still room for Samsung to surpass expectations. It could very well be the first Android phone with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a screen with no chin. Only Apple has been able to achieve a no-chin design on its screens so far. I'm okay if the front cam is a hole in the screen. If the screen has a notch, what's the point? I mean Samsung phones won't stand out on their own merits. That won't help Samsung's already declining sales either.

Which is why you get the impression there is no chin to fit the display. If Samsung would make a chin-less S10 and keep the overall design language they'd have to have a chin a fourth the size of Apple.

So Qualcomm's main competitor would be JDI, as the latter's technology actually works for any type of display (IPS LCD or OLED)
If JDI could manage to be as fast and accurate, maybe even more than the Ultrasonic one from Qualcomm, and pull out at least one within next year (possibly on a Xperia phone), then they have a winner already

Samsung is pulling all there Best to make there 10th anniversery phones to be there Best early 2019 phones,no Stupid Notch to show Apple they do not copy everything they do,as the others have done,just hope the pricing on the Galaxy S10 phones,do not come to over priced,as phones now are getting more expensive every year

So Samsung will have it before anyone else for 6 months or so.
The P30 and P30 pro will still use their optical readers when they are released during the same time frame as the S10 range and their superior Ultra sonic readers.
Most likely the Pixl 4's, Mate 30 pro and Note 10 will get them in the later half of the year.
