AnonD-804996, 05 Nov 2018Flashing devices is always so god damn complicated. Why can... morebecause flashing always involves a risk. you can't just let anyone flash a rom without having any elementary notions. for instance a guy flashes his phone and his phone gets stuck in a bootloop. what will he do if he has no idea how to get into recovery and troubleshoot the problem?

SW is not as simple as plugging in an USB stick. you can't ask a carpenter to perform surgery. that's why :)

Flashing devices is always so god damn complicated. Why can't all devices just have option where you pick up a supported ROM, jam it in the selection and flash. No, you always have to go through lenghty walkthroughs full of absurdly overcompolicated nonsense which often even gets outdated as phones get updates or software to make flashing changes. For example, I have an old Galaxy S2 which got flashed through overcomplicated process and now has CyanogenOS installed. Since the project is dead, I wanted to update to LineageOS and boy it's a freaking nightmare. Jamming it into the existing updater ends with errors and does nothing and NONE of the guides to flash through recovery work. So stupid.

Well, my question is, is there a custom rom that stops Google spying on you?

Uh, what is the article exactly stating? Cause I'm kinda confused

lahuevo, 03 Nov 2018oneplus is the new pixel, more cheaper and better specs. No it's not. Specs doesn't make the phone better... Pixel's software is what makes all the difference!

Google Pay doesn’t work on my Galaxy S4 running LineageOs 14.1. Although the phone is not rooted.

Nesux? Sounds good to me :)
