No MIUI is hitting my Note 4 any more. Runs pure stock 8.1 since january. Way faster and has a much better battery life. Security patches? Who gives a sh.t. Watching retard users waiting for the new release is just kinda funny.

About audio recording quality, i agree, but try camera quality. Some of those Nokias (Lumias also) from 2012,2013 have better camera quality that today most flagships (at least, better than Xiaomi). I know that, but Nokia does not exist anymore in smartphone world years back, those HMD licencing Nokias, have worst camera than Xiaomi :/

Sorry to say but MIUI is sucks for me. For me Stock Android is the best OS even MIUI have more features. I own and use both and find Stock Android suits me more than MIUI.

It is commendable that Xiaomi is supporting nearly all of their devices. I speak from personal experience. After 3 years on stock Android, one year of MIUI, and again a week of stock Android, I am happy to be back on MIUI. Security and feature updates are regular even on a $120 device. OS updates aren't. But to me it doesn't matter as even old MIUI 9 has way more features and conveniences than the latest stock Pie.

One thing I don't get is Xiaomi is inconsistent within their range. For instance, Redmi 6A and 6 have MIUI 10, but the 6 Pro doesn't, yet. The Redmi 5 Plus is on MIUI 10, but the Redmi 5 isn't. The Mi8 is. Mi8 Lite isn't. In their software forum, they list these phones as part of the same range. But won't roll out updates for them together.

I mean the cheaper 6A and 6 get MIUI 10 but the 6 Pro is yet to. I am sure, it will come, but why not roll them out for the same series together?

But all in all, for the price, the quality of hardware, software support and user engagement is right up there. I am sure there are plenty of stock Android and Pixel fans going about speed and "Android as Google intended". To them, I'd just say try MIUI, EMUI, Samsung or any decent OEM UI for a week at the least.
