I live in Britain and we don't wait for most of it, this guy is mad, we get things way before the rest of the world.
And even when you compare pound to dollar it's cheaper, 35 quid a month for a ocntract and a free phone. When I was visiting my parents in Canada I paid $100 a month on my contract (60 quid) signed a 3 year contract and still didn't get the phone for free, they charged me $199 for it on top of all that.
Sometimes we Brits complain too easily, you should live elsewhere and you'd appreciate how ahead we are on tech and how lots envy us for it.

Galaxy Nexus ,sounds a nexus under Galaxy series. Nexus Prime sounds much better for the Nexus Series google phone. but i understand why Samsung named it Galaxy Nexus because they made the device to reality(specs, screen, curves) google for software. therefore i conclude Galaxy Nexus is a reasonable name. who care? Galaxy phones and really good as-well as Nexus.

For a top of the range phone you're looking at about $50 per month on contract (phone is free).

Anonymous, 22 Nov 2011More in Britain? No you don't. You'll get the phone for $0 ... moreThe profits on contract phones are designed to be tariff against the duration of contract.
The cost of the phone is negligible to the networks; nothing more than an initial bonus. This why they can slash prices later or give them away.
Prices between countries vary as they are based only on how much they think customers can or are stupid enough to pay. As governments get more tax when you pay more, they don't encourage competitive pricing.
I've never taken on a contract in 10years, I buy unlock phones only so I can regulate what I pay much easier switch networks and travel as I please.
Suits me, but I know many are a slave to the system....

This could just be Best Buy making a screw-up.
For God sake though, just leave the name alone. If it was launched as Galaxy Nexus then leave its name be as Galaxy Nexus. This is only going to confuse consumers.
