Die shot of Kirin 980 shows off the chip's floor plan, two different Cortex-A76 designs

07 November 2018
The 980 has two pairs of A76 cores that have been optimized to run at different clock speeds - 2.6GHz and 1.92GHz.

What you just said and linked are not even the same as what's been discussed this whole time. And still not perfectly direct. That will still also depend on the load and how long it has to peak at such speeds.
You're kind of pathetic

I can do that too ;)

So you havent proved that a slower GPU can be more efficient than a faster one, but im the one in denial, riiiiiiiight.

Seems like you dont understand something quite simple as that, nor demostrate that a slower GPU, no matter which one you choose, the process, the arch, the lalala, is more power efficient than a faster one.

You can't just say oh this one is faster so it's more power efficient. That's not how that works. I don't know how that could be made any more clear.
And I really don't know how you haven't grasped this still....

The sooner you can start wrapping your head around this concept and that there are many many other factors the better.
Because then you can start applying it to life. Because almost every decision you make needs to be able to add endless factors. Not oh this and this so immediately it must be this. Or 2+2 equals fish.... Clearly not.
Unfortunate that's how the majority of people look at every situation and end up always jumping to the worst assumptions on answers or jumping down people's throats.
It's Insanity that this behavior and thought process is what's the norm....

dude111, 12 Nov 2018Great arguments Now i completly understand! /sI already made arguments and you are the one that made the wild claims to begin with.
You deflected with a useless and pushy comment and I have no obligations here.
And you are know making demands sheeeet it read already disproved from your side of the argument and you never were able to October your own claim.

And the worst part is it seemed after the bias were pointed out you seemed to actually kind of get the point.... but then turned around and reverted back to it from another angle..... by flipping the argument around...
Yes. I'm that amazing at calling people out. Yes you will deny it or not even being to grasp it and act out.... either way....
Please continue.

dude111, 09 Nov 2018Thats why i mentioned the A11 and A12 as an example.Die size also clearly played a roll even in that scenario. There are way too many other aspects. That faster idea simply doesnt apply here. Not even to those two. Not directly or alone.

Anonymous, 09 Nov 2018You can't simply say a faster one uses less power. That is not d... moreYou know that GPU have cores right?

More cores mean faster as they scale pretty well.

If your old GPU need two cores (out of 3) to run a game, and your new one have 4 at the same power envelope, you will need less of your gpu to complete the work, effectively using less power.
Yes, powering one additional core up does not mean consuming double the energy, but still, its less power overall.
