Prometheous, 08 Nov 2018Why did OnePlus have to add that gimmicky on screen fingerp... moreIf people don't adopt new tech, it will never move forward. The first fingerprint readers were slow, then became fast over time. Same will happen here.

        It is faster when I unlock ..don't know about the other improvements..

          Why did OnePlus have to add that gimmicky on screen fingerprint reader? The one at the back was good enough. Now it is slower, less secure and highely inconvenient. They could have avoided this hardware and upped the battery to 4000mah or retained the headphone jack. Priorities priorities.

            This update also solved possible Play Store bug, if any had it.

              H-1, 07 Nov 2018They already unlock in about half a second. Which makes me... moreHmm, maybe. Though fingerprints are quite secure, so I think security is gone

                Here's a good looking changelog(not particularly for the 6t):

                -Tweaked camera for better HDR and low light imaging.
                -Scratched the 45 off the cpu and now it's 50
                -Converted the vapor cooling to work on vodka
                -removed the headphone jack to fit in a lightsaber
                -tweaked charging mechanism to work on farts when placed in back pocket...

                Something like that...

                  Walter C. Dornez, 07 Nov 2018I've heard this really did get faster because of the updateThey already unlock in about half a second.
                  Which makes me think: does it compromise security to make software tweaks for such hardware?

                    thanks beta testers for providing feedback in our awfully slow "screen unlock". #OneplusCeo #NeverSeattle #DontBeEvil
