Your every picture video will have a black hole just like stain can not be wipe off.

So to answer your question,
1. Note 9 is premium flagship, designed for business people that slightly better than Note 8 so people who have note 8 thinking it's not worth enough to upgrade to note 9

[deleted post]Sits in the way of the display , kinda makes me it’s pointless , this will flop on impact.. it’s worse than the notch at least you can cover the side with your thumb it’s doesnt defeat the purpose of making its smaller it still impedes the screen making its a pointless design no befenfits.. you would have to be dumb to think it has a point where it’s located..

Do people understand that when a patent is available for everyone to see, it was registered at least 2 years ago? Patents that are visible now are not indicators of future devices, but most likely of devices that are already on the market... Also, companies try to cover everything they can in patents, it doesn't mean they will built a device like that. They probably have patented the notch with camera, earpiece, camera+earpiece, camera+earpiece+whatever, just to have all designs covered... once they decide they won't be doing it (like they probably wont be doing the cutout just for the earpiece), they just drop the patent (stop paying for it), and it becomes available to everyone...
