I'm not a billionaire and my Honor 9 works just fine for what I need it for. The value it holds doesn't matter to me, as I won't be selling it any time soon. Stop trying to convince people that you're some expert at who which phone is for. For everyone else here, buy the phone you like. They all have great cameras and great performance.

Budget minded users buy iPhones, excellent value retention, stays fast and smooth, problems are fixed or replaced without weeks of waiting, so much cheaper to own. Huawei is for billionaires who can afford to have 80% second hand value loss in under a year.

Still extreme overprising. The P20 is very slow and the camera is almost useless on Auto, ie useless for normal users. P20 Pro is even worse, cost more but is just as useless.
iPhone 7 is more than twice as fast, lag free, and takes flawless photos without hours of adjustments/tuning and experimenting.

Lag King. This phone lags even more than previous Samsung Galaxy phones. Had this in 2 weeks, was a nightmare. Good camera though.

No 3.5mm jack & microsd slot for such prices. Even at these "lower" prices, I will not buy it. You're just better off to get other phones at similar prices with 3.5mm jack & microsd slot as STANDARD.

Thats not really cheap, thats still a bit high for such phone. First, it is old for an android phone, there is big chance it wont get android 10, it is locked, so no custom roms. Second, it is not very good, it is full of useless gimmicks. Third, you shouldnt be so dumb and expect to get a "good deal" from big company, phones are overpriced in general, so its easy for them to drop the price later to normal, and shout that they selling it for almost free.

I think it's the only 10nm chipset phone on the market with a 1/2.3" sensor that can shoot DNG. Easy buy.

You can get one for about $475 at Malaysia right now. I've been observing for some time now but the price for huawei flagships in Malaysia seems to drop down really fast after a few months. I thought about getting one but the wide lens on the new huawei line up is too good to pass up. I'll wait for mate 20 to have lower price or p30 instead
