LG Superfan, 14 Nov 2018Anyway to revert it and I dont see how this is usefulOne of the pictures show there's an option to keep the sd card for files only, hence it would work as it always has been on previous Samsung devices

LG Superfan, 14 Nov 2018How is this useful?Apps that cannot be migrated to sd card can benefit from this

To be honest, if sou use the internal storage for just apps, it’s almost impossible to fill up that 50gb. And when people will fill it up with music, videos, photos, etc., they will install a new app to the sd card where they still have space, and they will have a worse experience, simce I guess even the fastest sd card isn’t as fast as the internal memory. Bad move..

Nice, but I have the Note5, and it doesn't have external storage nor Pie. Just give me Pie.

                          1) They're trying to make Bixby better
                          2) They're trying to get more developers to optimize apps to run smoothly on Android as they do on iOS
                          3) Tizen

This move actually makes me feel like Samsung is not getting rid of microSD card slots on their future devices.

But let's take a look at all their moves since the Note 9 that have been...developer friendly.

-Chinese Snapdragon phones can be rooted easier.
                            -S-Pen developer encouragement

                            -App to SD?

Is Samsung trying to win back the developer audience it lost?

there is no gain on this in fact ... how many apps are you going to install on your phone that storage will run out and you will have to move to sd card..... I rather prefer to use as main app loader ufs 2.0 device comes with rather than relay on a sd card even my sd card is fast it a 128gb card U3 class but still I prefer internal and the card for media consumption

After I use SD card as phone storage can I safely remove and use it elsewhere

Yup, finally... But why take it so long for sammy to put a decent amount of internal memory in his flagships? Note 8 with 64Gb at 1000€ last year? But at least they make it right with Note 9.
