Gusta, 15 Nov 2018Meizu is try to comeback with the Snapdragon flagship line up at... moreMeizu did not stop using SD, they just mixed it up with Exynos and MTK, the problem with people nowadays is that once they see Exynos or MTK over SD, they will say right away that it's not worth it, little do they know Exynos is a great chipset, MTK as well in some chosen series

Thesis86, 14 Nov 2018So 4x4 as opposed to a tri-cluster? That could be interesting. I was gonna say that too, the old news was 2+2+4, not 4+4.

So if those news were not "new" news, what were the news?

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2018seems to me that you're the only one saying Meizu is not doing a... moreTrue.. Meizu company is not as big as Xiaomi, Oppo, and Huawei but they are still big because they are member of Unicorn Startup Group Company in Asia.. Like DJI.. Their target is arround Chinese, Russia, and Asia first.. Maybe later if they are growing bigger.. They will try to expand to EU n US just like Xiaomi do for now.

Meizu is try to comeback with the Snapdragon flagship line up attack. They fell on the market share before because they just use Mediatek n Exynos for their flagship instead of Snapdragon n Exynos. No one to buy flagship with Mediatek SoC. At least for now because of lower perfomance especially on the GPU side.

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2018meizu 16 series...my fav till now...wish we could flash rom on themAgreed!
Decent hardware, Great UX. So much wasted potential.
And now that OnePlus is officially an iPhone copy-cat, Google confirmed to not care about the Pixel lineup, and that Samsung is introducing notches.... there's very little choices out there that are attractive to us Power Users.

Maybe an ASUS RoG Two in 2019...?

Thesis86, 14 Nov 2018So 4x4 as opposed to a tri-cluster? That could be interesting. I worry about its overall efficiency.
If two high-clocked Cortex A76 overheats in 7nm already, imagine 4 of them at around 2.5GHz.
Maybe it was a misinterpretation though. It could be that there are 4 Cortex A76, but only the 2 are clocked higher while the other 2 are underclocked for better sustained performance, much like the Kirin 980's setup.

Wow! I wonder how much this phone is? Is it 5G-ready?

stanley77, 14 Nov 2018its all great and good but this time meizu give to Yr flagship 1... moreseems to me that you're the only one saying Meizu is not doing any sense, EU is not their target tho they still ship units there as some people likes their product even without NFC, pick another brand if you don't like them

So 4x4 as opposed to a tri-cluster? That could be interesting.
